Remarks

Delhi University North Campus can be considered as a part of the Ivy League of India. The environment here is very student friendly. The exposure to opportunities one gets here is commendable. Academically DU produces many laurels annually in many different fields. And if one's not just academically fit enough, they also have admissions on the basis of ECA(Extra Curricular Activities) and Sports, which is how I got admitted to my college, KMC by Fine Arts quota. And apart of that, DU is even more famous for producing people for the Entertainment line top, which is one of the most famous factors which prompts a student to apply for admission in DU(North Campus, specifically).

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The Science Department of Kirori Mal College is good, but not at par when compared to the Arts, Commerce Departments. B. Sc Physical Science has a curriculum which is a mixture of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, with only elementary education and not core level. Thus the program courses like this are not paid much attention as compared to core courses. Laboratories lack proper and updated equipments and facilities. Regarding the teaching faculty, there are a few good Professors, of PhD level.

Internships Opportunities

1. XpressMinds, Content Research Intern, Rs. 5000 (through job application, interview)2. QriptQ, Graphic Research Intern, Rs. 5000 (through job application, online interview)

Placement Experience

4

The Placement Cell of our college is reputed for providing select eligible students with a good job and handsome salary. Samsung, Delloitte, HCL, E&Y are few of the companies which are often a part of the Placement process.

College Events

5

The only thing that one can vouch for (like me) is the campus life. The hustle bustle of the campus keeps it alive. Fests, Competitions, Seminars, Workshops are regular and very engaging. I being a part of my Fine Arts and Photography Society, and the Quizzing Society have participated and won in many competitions, which I enjoyed the most. Because of this, I have visited almost every college of DU. Abou the annual fest, our College's Renaissance is attractive, but not at par as compared to other North Campus College fests, like SRCC's Crossroads, Hindu's Mecca, Miranda's Tempest.

Campus Life

4

WiFi is npt good, we're promised about being provided with Passwords for Login during our Freshers, but haven't got one and it's our final year now. Infrastructure of the building is mildly moderate, not changed mainly because of it's classic touch, though upgrades to the ground is under process. As mentioned earlier, Science Department is often overlooked, because of which we lack proper and updated Laboratory equipments and facilities. Library is doing good till now, books are not updated regularly but a Online App fpr better connection is under construction. Hoping for good.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

We only have Hostels for Boys. They are good infrastructure wise, comprise of a gym and playground, and feasible too, as mentioned by my fellow mates residing there. For availing the hostel facilities too, one needs to clear a specific cutoff list criteria and that too quickly before the session starts.

Placement Experience:

Placements at my college are average, students become eligible from around the 5th semester. A few companies visit for recruitment, offering roles in entry level positions. The average package is moderate, while higher package are limited. Around 70 to 80% of students get placed. I plan to focus on skill development and explore better opportunities after completing my degree.

The placements of MAIT are decent as compared to market conditions. But the data shown on website or availble at various platforms is not the reality. The mass chunk of students who get a job are placed under and around 6LPA package.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very relevant as it contains useful concepts which a management student should know. And the concepts are very comprehensive and easy to understand. Examples are given in the curriculum which prepares us for the real world. Some teachers use the presentation based teaching which is good and should be encouraged. The exams are not that difficult for one who is atleast decent in studies.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

The course offers many things for students interms of their further academic pursuits or any placement they are looking for. Talking about the areas of improvement and teaching methods there are none. The exams of the respective subject are to happen. They take test 1 , test 2 and there is final exams.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.
