Remarks

The worst thing about Du chemistry department is that dogs keep roaming around the buildings and no one give any concern to them. Even some teachers and students feed them with bread milk etc. And labs are not that much feasible at least during summer it becomes impossible for us to work du to ill working of exhausts. Studies are very good and considerable compared to other private colleges.

Entrance Preview

I appeared in IIT JAM 2015 and was at 626 AIR in Chemistry I appeared in DU MSc Chemistry and scored 125 marks and then got admission in KMC college in MSc Chemistry. I was also interviewed in IISER BHOPAL for MSc PhD integrated programme in chemistry but was not able to get selection there.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

So far we have not come to elective stage that will be given to me in IInd year but in first year I have to study all three subjects that is physical, organic and inorganic chemistry. And I will opt physical chemistry as my elective in IInd year.

Internships Opportunities

I was a member of my College's project team where we were working on development of biocompatible films using bile acids and lactic acids and there my stipend was Rs.12000.

Placement Experience

2.5

Many companies visited our college like ranbaxy etc. And some of the students from Industrial chemistry was placed and some students got jobs in coaching institutes.

College Events

2.5

I was a part of organizing committee of my chemistry department and we organised chemcrown 2014 and activity coordinator in quasichem 2015 at my graduation level in A.R.S.D college

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure of DU MSc Chemistry is the one of the best thing and main factor to make students stay here. My annual fee is 11000 along with examination for both the Semester

Fees and Financial Aid

Yeah there are a lot of scholarships for students which are BPL and also for students who are very good in academics.

Campus Life

3

In my campus number of girls is more than that of boys. The ratio of girls to boys is approx 4:1. There is no any kind of racism or gender biasing every one is treated equal in all manners whether it is talk of studies or activities. Here no any kind of politics I have seen till now and everything goes in matter of fun only.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

I am staying in PG and I pay 6000 per month and facilities are not very much good but they are just fine to stay. Food is not quality food but it does the job and better than eating fast food

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are not that much interacting as they used to be in our Graduation life. Here no one concerns of any other. They just take the class and leave for home. No social experiments or interactions are offered by seniors.

Exam Structure

No we had only 12 classes and 3 labs per week and awarded Saturday off along with sunday. So we had enough time to have fun and spend time for other activites

Faculty

4.5

Faculty is just more than my expectation. I am being taught by scientists and researchers some of them have made their own research and some have written books of NCERT and other boards. Most of the faculty here has either done their PhD or postdoc from abroad. They have worked with many noble prize winners in chemistry.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My course is MSC operations research, which is a very vast and deep course. It goes deep into understanding business operations and providing the businesses with best quality steps. There were real life projects which have helped me alot in understanding difficult topics. If there could be more projects it would have been more helpful for studies. The exams level is moderate to difficult, have to study hard to perform good in tests/exams.

Campus placements are offered but I am still in my first year so I have no idea. Students usually go for higher studies (PhD) after master's. Clearing entrances becomes a task. They d offer campus placements it's not that intense as it should be.
