Remarks
The institute has fairly good academic standards. Few of the professors are well-qualified. I opted for Mechanical Engineering as a route for my aspirations to be in the aerospace industry. But overall I would give the institute only an average review. This is because the sports facilities are not good. The campus can be slotted in the worst of the state. Many professors and clerks misbehave and speak rudely.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum followed is based on the syllabus released by the University it is affiliated to i.e. Visvesvaraya Technological University. I would give the curriculum a good rating overall, even though it wasn't up to date with newest technologies. We weren't given any industrial exposure at all. Most we had was shown how the machines work by a callous instructor. A rare few of the faculties were well-qualified and respected like Mr. B. Gurudatt. Others would often speak rudely or went competent enough with technical knowledge.
Placement Experience
The job opportunities available are pretty good but you have to be up and matching the skill needed to avail them. A100% placement stat has been recorded in computers branch even though not all of them would be of big packages. Opportunities in other branches are not plenty. For example, in mechanical engineering, only a 10-20% were placed in core companies. You have to be a top performer. Oh, and they take fees from you for getting placed, so get the hint.
College Events
Campus life was as mentioned not impressive. There is just the one main fest that takes place at around March. Participation in the above is pretty good and a student would have plenty of extra curricular exposure is she participates in/conducts an event. Apart from that, there are cultural pujas and events that occur now and then.
Campus Life
I would give the infrastructure an overall average rating. The campus life of a college student would take a pretty big hit if that was a priority, as it is not praiseworthy. Sports facilities within the the institute are not many. There is a ground nearby wherein football and cricket trainings the place. There are few facilities available for Carrom, TT, Volleyball though. Library is sufficiently big. WiFi is something you'd be kept wanting.
