Remarks
1. I got into the college as the chemistry department and the faculty is good and experienced. 2. And it was easy for me to travel the distance btw my home to college on a daily basis.And metro station or bus stand is just 2-3 mins away. 3. The course which I opted for( Industrial chemistry) is available only in 3 DU colleges, among them ARSD was best.
Course Curriculum Overview
Syllabus is satisfactorily as we get to study about Analytical chemistry, green chemistry, Industrial chemistry, various instrumental methods.The exposure to industries was not good. We get to visit the industrial plants 2-3 times in 3 year duration.As every college has some excellent, some good and some average teachers, here also the same thing applies. But if you are facing any queries or want to know about something different, there are teachers to help.
Placement Experience
Many of the companies that visited the campus were for the commerce department. Science department students do not have good placement opportunities.
College Events
There are various seminars that are held every week of different different subjects and courses which anyone can attend. Then there are site visits for chemistry department and others too ; once or twice in a year. TIDE is the annual fest of ARSD held every year. There is a fest called RAINBOW specially organised for North- East community ( teachers and students)
Campus Life
Infrastructure is nice as compared to other DU colleges, The t- series classrooms gives u the feeling of a private university. They have a seminar hall, but there is no auditorium (I think it will get constructed in 2-3 years). Have a big big playground.The college library is good,have almost all books related to the courses.Labs(either physics or chemistry) needs more improvement ( in equipment and instruments).
