Remarks

The first thing that attracted me was the Infrastructure and environment. This University is situated in "Gunupur" a small town in "Raygada" district Odisha. college is away form city roars and pollution with clean and beautiful infrastructure, secondly the faculty we have awesome faculty out here who will help us gain knowledge and support us through our degree. Third thing is the placement here in GIET University placement is good highest package this year is around 10,00,000/- but almost all the students get placed here.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course Curriculum is informative. Faculties out here are very supportive they will help u at every milestone throughout your degree carrier. Academics our college examination system is as follows. VST - MID SEMESTERS - SEMESTERS VST (Very Short Test) weekly tests. MID SEMESTERS - Monthly test 2 times in a semester Semesters 2 per year.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 175000 per year

Data Science and Analytics Intern at The Sparks Foundation, Singapore (Virtual Internship for one month)

Placement Experience

Placements here are not that bad as almost every student here gets placed the highest package this year was 10,00,000/- and lowest was 2,00,000/- companies like Milliman come on the third year itself 6th semester any many companies like Byjus, Campgemini, Cognizent, Wipro, Mindtree, Lacesoft, Honeywell etc.

College Events

There are various student clubs. Many technical events are being conducted in our college and the best part is the "Annual college Fest" tech fest and Branch Fests. our college also conducts many workshops and international conference. There are many opportunities to grow in our college.

Campus Life

Library is always available 24*7, Wi-Fi 1.5 GB per day once you join this college you will be provided with ID and Password, Sports(Basketball, Volleyball, Cricket, Football, Indoor games also available), Gym has flexible timings.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel Rooms are good there are around 11 hostels for boys and girls hostels are outside the campus. The best part is girls hostel are safest place for girls. Outing for boys is not restricted but we have to return to our college before 7 p.m. but for girls outing is only for two days wednesday and sunday that to only for 1-2 hrs.

Placement Experience:

So from 7th semester plcements are starting.Various Tech and Non Tech companies are also coming like TCS ,Accenture, Cognizant, Delloitte, InfoSys, KFinTech, Incture, GyanSys, Iserveu for Tech branches. and PRADAN, Aditya Birla etc for Non tech branches. Students also getting offers from OffCampus like RedHat ,CISCO ,Amazon ,Google. From On Campus Highest Package goes upto 12 to 15LPA and lowest is 4.5 but average is 5 to 6 LPA which is comperable. And about almost all are who are opting for placements got placed eventually.

After 6th semester the students get eligible for company placement. There are huge companies visited every year for the placement and many big MNCs like Amazon offers 100seats , Wipro offers 200, detollite offers 100, microsoft offers 10, ITC offers 150 , Infosys offers 300, TCS offers 200, Flipkart offers 150 and many more . Every year almost 80% of the students get placed at a good company with a minimum of 4 lakhs . After getting the degree I am planning to get placed in a multi national company like Amazon or Microsoft

See basically you placement depends on you .If you work hard you will get placed with a good package.In our college last year the avg package for CSE was around 13 Lakh per annum and highest was about 39 lakh per annum.Companies like Amazon,oracle Microsoft etc visited our college .After 4 th or 5 th semester i Think we are all capable of getting placed .

In 5th semester the campus is coming to give you jobs. The company are vedant ltd, jsw, tata, reliance etc, outside companies also come. Maruti Suzuki. 60 to 70 per cent of students gate the job. I am also job junior engineer at Tata.

Courses and instructors are good, but don't expect a rocking campus life here.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this college without planning as I couldn't get a desired seat in IIT. But I think it was for good. The course is a wonderful primer on the path of becoming a scientist. Compared to other colleges, IISER Berhampur has a quite good faculty: student ratio. But most of them are pretty good as people and as teachers. We manage to conduct all classes without fail. But I'd like to see an increase in the number so that the research area can be broadened. The faculty here have all completed their Ph.D. and postdoc and all have some good prior experience in research and teaching. I like most of the instructors that have taught me except for a few one or two. The exam schedule is given right with the calendar release of each semester before the semester starts. Sometimes there might be changes in the schedule but we are informed around 2-3 weeks earlier in that case. Exams are not hard to pass if you attend classes and study sincerely. Questions are not asked beyond the concepts being taught.

Placement Experience:

After the summer internship. The college started giving campus placement training and during the month of September, students got placement already. Companies like TATA AIG, Collegedunia, Federal Bank, Delloite, ADP, TCI, SIS, HDFC AMC. IDFC BANK. Practo, ADVARISK, AXIS BANK. Property pistol came and took a maximum of students. The highest package was offered by international companies like property pistol with 22 lac CTC and average being 5lacs. Mostly the profile was on sales and marketing. only a few fintech companies could recruit students. Till now around 96% of students are placed in different domains and already started working. I am fortunate enough to get placed in the FEDERAL bank with 10lac CTC and as a fresher joining such a big company will be extremely grateful to the college and its placement team. They personally look after students drawback by the feedback they get from the recruitment teams and suggest where to improve and give a number of opportunities to seat for the company.

All are good,but only fooding quality is below the level.And also it does not have any playground available to play outdoors games.only it have not a playground but this college have good class room,WiFi campus, Computer centre,canteen, language lab and hostel are there.
