Remarks
Remarks would for management would be, encourage the internship programs which will give a corporate exposure to students along with learning experience.
Entrance Preview
I opted for this college based on my rank in OJEE(Orissa JEE). I exactly don't remember my rank but it was between 700-1000. I opted for computer science and engineering course because of review I got about faculty and labs. Admission process was simple and well organized by BPUT and upon joining the college also faculty and seniors were helpful.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum was very good. Course included subject which has basic programming language, architeture of computer and digital electronics. Also the electives given were good. It is hard to remember the course curriculum at this point in time.
Internships Opportunities
College does provide an internship to core branch students. Companies like cadance, sankalp semiconductor etc. For IT branch like CSE and IT they provide extra courses to enhance our knowledge in interested subject.
Placement Experience
Placement department officials and other people are very much helpful to groom the students and prepare them well for corporate interviews. Total 13-15 companies came for recruitment. From our batch 86% students got job offers from placement. Companies like Infosys, capgemini, wipro, cadence, mindtree, hcl, techMahindra, sankalp semiconductor, l&t, etc. were among the big recruiters offering package varying from 3.5 - 6.5lpa.
College Events
Every year there were two major events celebrated in college. One is sankalp our technical/cultural/ management program where we were given an open forum to present our competencies among the students invited from different colleges. Another was our college annual cultural function to motivate students to get engaged in cultural / sports activities apart from study.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure was feasible. Including campus boarding charges it was ?98000. This includes course fees, placement training fees, academic fees, hostel fees and excludes food charges. Little of which was cautious money which is refundable at the time we leave college.
Fees and Financial Aid
I'm not aware of loans but yes college does provide scholarship to students whose family does not has a good earning capability. Also scholarship were awarded to students who scores best at university level.
Campus Life
Gender ratio :9:10 female:male ratio hostel party every alternate month. Workshops were organized very regularly. Cultural program on every 6months one internal one at university level. Sports activities were regular. Swimming, basketball, cricket, pool, table tennis, chess, carrom, badminton, volleyball, were among common sports. There was no internal or external political interference. Overall in this regard its 10 on 10 score.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel accommodation was the best among all other similar colleges we had hygenic common washrooms. There were sharing as well as individual rooms rent was nominal. Food was average but every weekend it was good and once in a month it was awesome. I would score the hostel stay as 8 out of 10 and food as 6 out of 10
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni network is good but hardly they organize any alumni meeting for different batches. Alumnis are approachable if they are still in college college publishes their experience in our college magazine.
Exam Structure
College had 3 internal exams apart from every semester exam. Internal exams conducted was also in same pattern as semester exam to make students be prepared for final exam. Scores of all 3 exams were strictly accounted for internal scores send for evaluation in final.
Faculty
Faculty were good, with clear understanding on subject matter and lab practice. They were helpful, always open for help and making the topic clear to each and every student. Final year project work given by faculties was also tough and challenging.
