Remarks

Kirori Mal College is a nice and prominent college of North Campus, University of Delhi. The faculty of History department for undergraduate level is very good. The whole department is very good. The college administration is nice.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course is very nice. It is on another level where you will feel that this is the real way to learn History. When it comes to the curriculum so in first year we study Ancient Indian history and Social Formations and the Cultural Patterns in the world,where we learn Human evolution and Mesopotamian Civilization,Rise of Islam, Rise of democracy in Greece, Fuedlism in Europe etc. The faculty of History department is very good. The professors are very nice. They help a lot to students in order to get them efficient in their studies. They make History very exciting for us. After learning history from them you will definitely be very proud to be able to learn history. They make history enjoyable for us on another level. The whole department is very good. We have tours like Delhi tours, outstation tours. These are really knowledgeable for the students of History as well as interesting as we stayed 3 days in Aurangabad (Maharashtra ) in a hotel. We enjoyed a lot. The department is like a family.

They would be good but at this time when I am in my second year of History hons. I am not much into these things. So I don't know about this.

College Events

Campus is very exciting life. Each day there is new seminars and events in the college. In the events many prominent people come like IAS officer, IPS officer, Journalists, Economist, Feminist, Historians Poets and singers come.

Fees and Financial Aid

No I haven't availed any loan but yes I availed fee concessions from the college because I do not belong to a much well off background.

Campus Life

Campus infrastructure is not so good. It's a very old building and demands renovations a lot. However, I can not ignore the elegance of Ashoka lawn. It is very beautiful. The stairs are too good and made in a unique and beautiful way

Hostel Facilities

No, I have not opted for the hostel. Because it KMC has no hostel for girls. I have not opted for the hostel as Kirori Mal college does not have any hostel for the girls. But yes the students are trying and raising their voices against this thing that they should provide hostel for girls as well

Placement Experience:

Placements at my college are average, students become eligible from around the 5th semester. A few companies visit for recruitment, offering roles in entry level positions. The average package is moderate, while higher package are limited. Around 70 to 80% of students get placed. I plan to focus on skill development and explore better opportunities after completing my degree.

The course i am engaged is BA HONOURS ENGLISH in DAULAT RAM COLLEGE, UNIVERSITY OF DELHI, the course offered is comprehensive, interesting and detailed. The faculty of English honours department is fully supportive of the students, the faculty members do not just give theory or bookish knowledge but also help us improve our communication in English language. We have studied many areas of literature within the course offered- ROMANTIC LITERATURE, EUROPEAN LITERATURE, INDIAN LITERATURE, AMERICAN LITERATURE, DALIT LITERATURE AND EVEN REGIONAL LITERATURE TRANSLATED IN ENGLISH. The teachers also continuously conduct tests and examinations for improving the academics of the students

Aspects of the GGSIP University

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very relevant as it contains useful concepts which a management student should know. And the concepts are very comprehensive and easy to understand. Examples are given in the curriculum which prepares us for the real world. Some teachers use the presentation based teaching which is good and should be encouraged. The exams are not that difficult for one who is atleast decent in studies.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Life in Kirori Mal College.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester. I don't know a lot about campus placements but I know that there is a training and placement cell in our college that provides good packages to many students. Some students got more than 7lpa last year. I will be doing my Post graduation after college and will make a career in academics.

MY COLLEGE LIFE

Main exam was CUET. We should crack it with high marks... More than 98 percentile to get into the prestigious north campus of Delhi University. My college KMC comes under north campus and I'm really happy. I chose this college because it is one of the best for my course. It ranked 3rd in whole india for political science. I wanted it admission process is easy. After cuet results are published u have to fill csas portal. And you can see your rank and college allotted in the first round. The. Document verification. Afte that you will get gmail from the college and university. Cut off is almost 99 percentile in north campus. It's really difficult to get in. For humanities and commerce students choose DU.
