Amrit Bagga's Review On NIIT University - [NU], Neemrana

Umm to be brief about the college, if you wish to get the ultimate exposure, this is the college for you and indeed you will see the Change in you from the very first day and hence feel quite Home away from Home types. Believe me you would never find any college in which the President or the top most authorities talk to you at any moment of time be it day or night and hence try to solve that issue at the spur of the moment.

I had appeared for JEE Mains and BITSAT and scored 97 and 206 respectively. I chose this college because of its location, the well equipped EC labs and the kind of academic curriculum that they offer with the last sem Industry Practice(IP) program.

The course curriculum is amazing with highly experienced and dedicated faculties from various IIT's like IIT Delhi , Mumbai etc. and since my campus is a research driven campus, a lot of focus is given on the R&D project that we are offered in the 6th Semester of our engineering.

As of now, I have not experienced any technical internships that my college offers but I am pretty much aware about the status. For Industry Practice and henceforth the placements, many different comapnies like Amazon, IBM, Cognizant, 21CC, MakeMyTrip, Snapdeal, PayU and loads other come and offer the 6 month internship and if performed well, they also offer the PPO i.e. the Pre Placement Offer after 4 months of your internship. The average stipend ranges from 10K to 25K.

For Industry Practice and henceforth the placements, many different comapnies like Amazon, IBM, Cognizant, 21CC, MakeMyTrip, Snapdeal, PayU and loads other come and offer the 6 month internship and if performed well, they also offer the PPO i.e. the Pre Placement Offer after 4 months of your internship. As per the current records, the average package offered was estimated to be 4.8 LPA. As of today, Cognizant has recruited 53 out of 88 students and the mentioned companies are on the way to come for the recruitment drive.

Yes, we do have an Annual Lecture in the month of November every year and this year it would be our 7th one. When it comes to a techno-cultural fest, we do have an astoundingly grand fest with colleges participating from whole of Delhi NCR and Jaipur with a footfall of about 5000. The name of the tech fest is IngeNUity and is held in late Jan or early Feb every year. We are a SUNBURN campus so you can imagine the amount of lark and amusement we have in our 3 day 24*7 tech fest.

We have a fully- residential campus with a strength of about 1500 in total unlike the big bang colleges where you have no time to even meet your friends daily!! The hostel rooms a re quite good with Single, Double and Triple Sharing for boys and Single rooms for Girls every year. The rooms are well- equipped with all the stuffs like bed, desk , almirah, chair., mirror, and of course a cooling system called EAT(Earth Air Tunnel)[ MAIL ME FOR FURTHER DETAILS ON IT.. :P] The fees is pretty good for a private university but we do have scholarship policy and trust me almost all of us are scholarship holders. You know what! I am a 75% scholar too... The mess food is way better than any other college I have ever heard from my mates. We get 4 meals a day and the caterers are from Delhi by the name of BCH Foods.

As mentioned before too, we have scholarship policy and we usually get the scholarship ranging from 25-75 % on the basis of our 10th and 12th or JEE or other entrance exams. For instance I have 75% scholarship. Loans are also available from ICICI Bank.

Campus Life is quite up to the mark . Since it is just 1 hour away from Gurgaon, we usually go out on weekends to chill out with our friends. The Boy to Girl Ration is quite good(roughly to be 20:30 in each batch). There are many clubs that are functional all along the day and we do have sports events like Inter House sports competition, Literary competitions and this year we have come up with a full-fledged 1 week NU Activity Week which is mainly focused on enjoyment and enjoyment.

The Alumni Network is improving gradually since the college started in 2009 only and the senior students are quite helpful just like I have been for 2 years now.. :P . But ya, here we don't overrule the juniors and treat them equally as part of our family.
