there are many reasons to choose this college like there placements status,NIRF ranking etc. first time i read about this college on google and it totally impresses me.it has a 153 acers small campus but it's good. the environment of college and the nature totally won my heart. there are also many sports available like cricket, tennis, table tennis, badminton, football, athletics etc. badminton hall and the main ground are beautiful. it also has good infrastructure, and the classrooms of CS and IT students are amazing. this is my small experience about NIT jalandhar.

first year syllabus for all the branches are same, but from the second year onward there are courses only related to your branch. in first year you have to read some unexpected courses like manufacturing process and environmental studies etc. but from second year onward there are only good subjects and only related to your branch, which will required you un your future.

placements are really good here, if you are from CS and ECE branch then there is a great chance for you to get job at a descent price.the average placement percentage is around 95 to 100% for these two branches. some good companies visits here to hire you like amazon, microsoft, infosis, samsung etc. normally CS and ECE students are placed to microsoft.so if you are from ECE and CS then you don't have to worry so much about your placements.

here comes the best part of the college the college festivals. festivals are really good here, all the festivals are enjoyed here very well. main college fest name is UTKANSH and this is one of the best fest in india. people comes from the outside also to watch the fest, the fest is that much impressive.

there are two banks in the campus one canara and the other one is SBI. the gives loan on the low interest rates.and the bank staff is also good. for scholarships there is a section named as scholarship department, where you can get information's related to all the scholarships.

it has a good infrastructure, good sports ground also.but the wi-fi speed is very slow in the campus. in first year hostels there are LANs for the internet use, and LANs really works good and gives you a good speed to download. now talk to sports the badminton hall is very good, tennis court is also impressive and the athletics ground is also quit good, the cricket ground and football ground is also there for students. Library is not as well as we want. it has a less no. of books available.

there are 3 hostels for the first year students. all hostels have good infrastructures, but hostel - 2 has the best food in all 3 of them.hostel -2 is for non-veg students, 2 times in a week there are non-veg food or the students.mess food is really impresive of hostel-2. the hostel staff is also good, but they also put some extra charges on you for late entry in hostel. in first semester you have a time limit of 9 pm, after 9 pm you can't go outside hostel, and if you are coming late after 9pm from somewhere then the hostel guard will put your name in late entry and maybe you'll fined.but other then this the hostel is is very good and if you are part of it then you can't forget this in your life. if you are selected in NIT jalandhar then you'll gonna have a lot of memories here. this is all about hostels.
