Good engineering college

Nothing bad memory that i have experience at campus . I see this college as my second home. The affection i got here is amazing.

I got admission in this college after my diploma in 2012 through lateral entry scheme and i choose this college because this is the one of the best colleges in punjab hence why i opted for this.

I currently passed out in 2015 and after my three year stay at the gndec campus has really improved me as a person in general. Course curriculum for civil engg is well organized and focus on basic understanding of subjects. This college follow curriculum guidelines set by punjab technical university jalandhar currently having revised syllabus for civil batch 2011 onwards.

College provide industrial training as well as software training for seventh / eighth semester. For software training there is a separate institute situated within campus as step which provides basic civil as well mechanical software knowledge to students at very reasonable rates. Eg stad pro, primavera etc.

In our batch time major companies visited campus for civil branch was thermax ltd. Acc cements, tcs, infosys etc. Placement process is easy and hassle free due to training and placement cell of gndec. It provides ample amount of opportunities to students to apply in joint as well as campus placement.

Technical event are organized by the societies in college like aces ( association of civil engineering students), scie and many others. Athrava is technical festival in month of october and november and genesis is cultural event organised in month of february and march. both are fun events.

Fee for one semester of degree( under graduation ) is approximately 53000 rupees for day scholar and 63000 rupees for hostlers. Not very expensive but for economically weaker section there is availability of scholarships for needy as per guidelines set by the government and university.

There is post matric scholarships and minority scholarships for the schedule and tribe caste students and other types of scholarships are also available.

Gender ratio in core branches like civil, mechanical and electrical is more towards boys side. There is diversity in everything u notice you will meet people from different part of country and hence will provide u a good and learning experience . No political campaigns in campus which is good for studies.

Truly speaking i am a day scholar student hence i cannot comment on this issue but what i got from my hostlers friends that quality of mess food is not that bad but can not be said excellent and can be said average. Wifi is available along with other indo
