I wish if they could improve quality of teaching and placements this could be a better college.

I took MAH-CET (Maharashtra Common Entrance Test) entrance test in 2013 for MCA which is conducted by DTE (Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra) this test is held in April of every year.I got 88 percentile i.e 96 marks out of 200 marks. I had been on the look out for a good college where I could receive quality education I visited to many college and Pad. Dr. D.Y.Patil Institute of MCA was one of those.Visiting this college I saw its campus is just amazing there was nothing but greenery all around, Campus is well groomed with beautiful plants and running showers this lured me to take admission in this college.The 2nd good thing about this college is its locality, The college is located only 1 KM away from Akurdi railway station which facilitates ample number of local trains to come to college from anywhere in the Pune city and to return to your place.College didn't take any test or interview to grant my admission.

The course structure laid down by University of Pune is well structured and up to date. Since the course is under Management faculty We have to study 2 subjects of Management in our each semester despite being a technical student of Computer Application.Each has to do 2 mini-projects of Software/Application development.

Web Tech, Mind Stix, New gen, L&t etc. came and there wasn't any stipend declared. I am not placed I do not have internship experience.

Only almost 3 to 4 students out of 150 students are placed still and those are placed on their own capacity. Web-tech, Mind-Stix, New gen, L&T these companies came to campus, Web-tech, and Mind-Stix offered 3 lakh per anum. New gen offered 2.4 lakh per anum and L&T offered 3.4 lakh per anum.

Life in this college is full of festivals it begins with induction program, and followed by various event like Guardian Meet HR Meet, Freshers Party, Alumnus Meet, Kalavruti, Techno-Sports and week of annual festival which includes Signature day, Chocolate day, Theme day, Cultural day. Research seminars, Conferences and various guest lectures keep on happening very frequently. Out of these Kalavruti is my favorite event where students show their talent in various competitions like Ad-mad show, Painting competition, Drawing competition, Best out of waste competition, Technical quiz competition, Essay writing competition etc. one winner and two runner up are chosen from each competition.

Need of boys hostel in this area is very less so available boys hostel is common to student of different courses with a very less intake which is situated just in front of the college campus.The hostel charges approximately 60 thousand bucks per year just for lodging there. Innumerable mess are available in this area which serves two time meal to students just for 3400 rupees month. They offer special meal on Sundays.

Since institute is approved by AICTE all state governments avail scholarships to students learning in this institute if students belong to economical backward class or minor category. Banks also sanctions education loans to students verifying their eligibility. Since I do not belong to economical backward class I never got any scholarship.

Gender ration is skewed on 13 girls are there in the class of 75. Variety is the spice of life, this phrase holds true and can be best seen in this college. Students very good get along with students of other states. Each evening they play out door games like Cricket, Kabaddi, Badminton in D.Y.Patil Sports Complex in front of College campus.

Institute had taken us in touch with our alumni who revealed their fruitful strategy to score higher in University examinations. I secured 1st division using their strategy. Alumni also revealed how to stay focused on our goals during duration of this course that I can't explain in few words.

Faculties are good enough to memorize a new topic so that they could deliver power point presentation on that topic the next day.75% attendance is compulsory and it is strictly monitored by respective faculties of respective subject.
