In one word as said in the title if you join PSG you placement is surely guaranteed you get good education, exposure and a steady job what else is required.

Tamil Nadu Stateboard 12th ExamI scored 1120 for 1200 and my cut off (Maths, Physics, Chemistry) was 193 for 200I came to know about this course when I went for BISAT online test in Chennai. There a co-student explained me about MSC. Software Engineering (five year integrated) programme and gave me the course brochure. I referred to the course in internet and researched about PSG Tech college too. My brother in law studied in PSG Tech and he explained me about the college and also told placement is surely guaranteed if you study in PSG. I had options of Thiyagaraja ECE, VIT, Amrita college. I compared all of these with PSG Tech placements and found that in PSG Top MNC's like Google, Facebook, Microsoft come for hiring and placement is 100% guaranteed. Also there were many good reviews about this course (spoke to few aluminis of this course).

The course is really good and updated. They update the course each year according to company standards. This is something unique about this course unlike other government courses where syllabus is revised only once in 5 years. As part of this course we have 1 year training in industry as well which contributes to more exposure.

Yes, we have 1 year internship in total (7th semester and 10th semester). We can chose to do internship in the same company or different companies for both the internship. We get paid from 15k - 30K depending upon the company you get the internship. Amazon was the highest paying with 30K. Amazon, Goldman Sachs, Payoda, Intel, Ebay, SuccessFactors, Deloitte, Capgemini, EMC2 were some of the companies that came for internship hiring.

PSG has 100% placement all of us were placed. Google, Microsoft, Deshaw, Amazon, Goldman Sachs, Payoda, Intel, Ebay, SuccessFactors, Deloitte, Capgemini, EMC2, Thoughtworks, Thorogood, Yahoo, Accenture, Wipro, TCS, CTS, Infosys were some of the companies that came for plcaement hiring offer varied from 3.5L-16L per annum depending on the company.

We have department event called LOGIN, intra college tech fest it a 2 day event which includes tech events like software presentation, puzzle , star of the event , online test, hacking and various events. In college we have events like INTRAMS, Kriya which are intra college and big events.

Fees for my course is little expensive when compared to affiliated courses since this course is autonomous. I paid 25,000-30,000 per semester this includes College campus maintenance fees, tutoring fees, exam fees , lab fees , college functions cost etc.

Nope i cant remember anything of that sort you have to manage that part if you apply loan and ask for proofs and signatures college will help you with that.

In my class girls were more than guys (31 girls 9 boys). But generally the college has good distribution of girls and boys. There are people from various parts of india (not nly tamilnadu). There are even handicapped people studying. There is a separate quota for physically challeneged students. There are a lot of extracurricular activities happening in campus and outside campus as well. I myself was part of the karate club, english club , entrepreneur club and NCC.

Hostel facilities are pretty decent. There are separate blocks as per peoples requirement. If you are willing to pay more then you can take the luxurious rooms. Food is same for all. There is north indian and south indian mess . You can choose what you want.

Alumnis are very helpful when it comes to placement. Even if someone is not able to be placed in any of the companies that come to campus the alumnis who run companies on their own hire these people. Also they give us a general guideline on how to prepare for interviews. The seniors conduct mock interviews for us, review our resume and are very helpful.

We have once in two month cycle tests (written and lab exams)So basically in one semester we write 3 written and lab exams. Best of two ius taken for internal marks apart from this, we have monthly class tests assessed for 10 marks in internal then we have research topic presentation once which includes 5 marks in internal. Then we have project which is 20 marks for all the labs we are always busy throughout the semester.

Most of the faculties who handle this course are PhD scholars. They have several years of experience in teaching. They are updated with current trends in the subject and keep the classes very engaging. There are monthly cycles and also lab cycle tests, project work, presentations and class tests where teachers constantly review our performance.
