Remarks

The library is well equipped and there is also enough space in front of the College for the bunkers(like me). One must study in Podar for the podar experience. My Final Comment is R A Podar is one of only three colleges that has been given an A+ rating by NAAC.

Entrance Preview

CET is the entrance exam I choosed for my better career. The preparations are going good B.Com I had opted because it was helpful for my career and also it helped me to learn and develop accordingly. The personality development (PD) subject also helped a lot.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Podar is undoubtedly the best Commerce College in Mumbai for Junior College and B.Com. Itメs BMS Course is relatively new and thus canメt be commented on the RA Podar College of Commerce and Economics was established in 1940 with Mumbai University affiliation. The institution first started the B. Com degree course in 1942.

Internships Opportunities

The last yesr starts with responsibility and placements students are more working on their interview and building up confidence. The management of the college brings the best I.T. companies like Accenture, Infosys, CSC, TechM, CMC etc. Overall this college will give students a very supporting and friendly learning environment.

Placement Experience

3.5

Although Podar College does try to get their students placed, most of the commerce students are too busy studying for CA to bother. BMS has decent placements in terms of the profile, but the salaries they get are quite awful like its less when one think about their first salary.

College Events

4.5

Podar College of Commerce and Economics hosts two cultural festivals, Enigma (inter college) and Rapport (intra college) the college takes part in most sports. It has produced eminent sportsmen in the national & International arena. The Volleyball team of which I was a part of for 5 years & the captain in my final year ranks amongst the top eight in Mumbai University.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The institution first started the B.Com degree course in 1942 and the word economics was added to the name of college the college fees for students are reasonable and feasible. It now became 'Ramniranjan Anandilal Podar College of Commerce and Economics'. The College received permanent affiliation from the University of Mumbai on 17th August, 1950.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarships play a very vital role in students life. Girls scoring at least 3.4 GPA were offered scholarship for their betterment and it helps them to complete their education. Champions and winners were also provided scholarships which helps them for a brighter future.

Campus Life

4

One of the Top colleges of Mumbai proud to be a podaraite One of the best commerce colleges in Mumbai it has good Faculty, Campus, Sports Activities and Canteen. The college is gud the Katta is the most famous place for podarite to sit and chit chat there are 3 colleges on the same line starting with welingkar the podar and then ruiya so people can do there graduation rom R A Podar and then do there masters from welingkars. The campus is excellent, ther is a huge playground in front of the college, used for summer camps for cricket and Harris Shield matches.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

No other college can top Podar in the Food and entertainment department. With hotels like Maniメs, Ram Naik,Sherryメs, Chinaman etc. (Amazing Food at very low costs) and the college canteen, (famous for its strong coffee, misal pav and chinese), one is never hungry. The canteen variety is though less but it satisfies ones need.

Alumni/Alumna

Senior students are well aware of their responsibilities towards juniors they are well understandig and supportive seniors also provide a friendly environment to the juniors they help them in their assignments, projects etc. The laboratories ambiance is so well maintained.

Exam Structure

The college has a very good ambience laboratories the exams conducted in college were not at all hectic it was a chilled out day for students the mission of the institution is to impart sound principles of commerce and Trade and to develop the overall personality of students so that they can work both as leaders and team members.

Faculty

3.5

The college is good and supporting as far as the faculty is concerned but it needs to work a bit on its infrastructure and crowd of students especially junior college and I believe that i received a quality education at R A PODAR and I am pleased to tell all aspiring undergraduates that if they choose to attend they are in for a very student friendly experience.

Placement Experience:

At TCSC placements are quite good as anyone. Even the SOBO colleges and Mithibai don't have placements as good as us. So this is why I always dreamt of studying here because since last 6-7 years, Thakur College placements have gone better and higher.

The good thing is that the college was not strict and was never forcing us to study rather it was seeing to it that it gave us proper advice and help us reach more towards my career goal. The bad part would be there were may staff which was very dull and was not kind, and no importance was given to correct their behaviour although it was evident by all.
