Remarks
The college is ideally situated, and had great connectivity by metro and bus services. The college is one of the oldest in the university and also has one of the best faculties. Mostly I chose it because of its affiliation to University of Delhi.
Course Curriculum Overview
My opinion about the course is that b.com(h) is one of the most popular and sought after courses in the country. The classes are regular and the faculty is one of the best in the entire University. Students from all parts of India come here. Pgdav has a moderately high cutoff but one can wait till further list comes out to gain admission.
Placement Experience
Placement and job opportunities are also good as the college has its own placement cell which is one of the biggest and most active in DU. It sees a lot of a companies coming into the campus. The placement cell communicates efficiently to anyone who wants to apply.
College Events
Pgdav is known to have one of the most active extra curricular life in DU. It has the many societies. Rudra- street play society, Navrang- stage play society, raaga- indian music society, conundrum- western music society, chanakya- intellectual society(quizzing, debate, poetry, anchoring), spunk- western dance society, natraj- indian classical dance society, iris- photography society, rapbeats- hip hop society, Jalsa-bhangra society and much more. There are Cricket, football, basketball, volleyball teams too. The College also has an annual fest known as AAGHAZ which has been attended by celebrities like Raftaar, lost stories, Milind gaba, zaeden, local train etc.
Campus Life
Set up in 1957 pgdav is one of the oldest colleges in DU. There are three building wings. One is the main wing which houses most of the classes. Second wing also has newly built classrooms and the third wing houeses the state of the art auditorium and canteen (which is considered to be one of the biggest and cleanest in DU, not to forget it serves tasty food for pocket friendly prices). The college is well equipped with WiFi. It has two libraries- one for regular students and the other for evening students. It also has two auditoriums both accessible by all students. Basketball court cricket pitch, football ground volleyball court, gym are all included.
