Saksham Gupta's Review On VIT Bhopal University, Bhopal

I was thinking to get admission in other colleges and i heard about this college and reviews of this college was good also i didnt cleared up JEE but got admission in VIT through VITEEE my rank was not so good to get the main branch of vellore but i found that this college is provding many good features and that was my reason to join this college

Talking about the course curriculum and academics : The course curriculum is really nice but it is really hard and fast to survive till the time you are aware with your course you will be given lots of quizzes, assignments and after that a CAT1 (unit test), time you complete this, the faculties are ready to throw the second wave of quizzes and assignments but this time it covers a lot of the course and you will feel like it was yesterday that college started and they are throwing assignments like hell. course is up to date with the new requirements and it provides an industrial exposure also new development languages are taught with the course so its fine Faculties are somewhat good and some are really not worth it. they feel students are machine who can work for 24x7, they keep giving assignments. talking about attendance : in every course you should have atleast 75% attendence and from my suggestions you should have atleast 96% because they keep 5% of total weightage of the course on attendance if you have 96-100 you will get complete 5% weightage of that course, but if you have 95% attendance you will get 4%, so its better to have a good attendance as the next semester course registration is dependent on it (course registration is taking your course according to the time slot and faculty you want, so keep attendance good to get good faculty)

Campus Life : the worst thing of VIT Bhopal NO Campus life i should say there are 100s of restrictions in the college. If you want to go out of the campus you have take 3 step permissions (first proctor, then chief-warden and then warden) so its really the worst thing. Moreover there are functions at a regular basis but they are not that active, some competitions are held every now and then. There is really the worst management system for PDA (public display affection) many students face embarrassment due to this, if you are closely sitting to person of opposite gender, they claim you with PDA by which they take Rs. 25000 from both of them by just sitting close (ridiculous ik) moreover there are more and more restrictions for every small thing like you cannot wear shorts and go to the academic block, ID card is mandatory everywhere, etc.

Campus infrastructure is really good. we have been given with unlimited access to the Wi-Fi and also the size of campus is big enough but the campus is quite far from the main city. It is located in forest area(not even village). There are many things in the campus like the library is quite big but not so big that it has many things. new infrastructure and buildings are been created but as for now its like not a good campus as they are at a building stage. Labs over here are really good they have modern equipped furniture and new tech PCs. So its nice campus overall.

Everyone dream of a great hostel life but here in VIT is is absurd Hostels are closed at 7:30 PM for Boys and for girls its 6:00 PM. Hostel life is completely messed up, we cannot bring our kettles to the hostel, MAGGIE is banned here (worst thing i faced). Food over here is good comparative to other colleges but the only thing is you get really worst things by restrictions. you will feel like you are in PRISON at Hostel. Cleanliness is copasetic and other things like Wi-Fi are cool. even Wi-Fi has many restriction (if you know what i mean). rather than that the chief warden is the biggest fool in the world he wouldn't permit you for going out, if you have a bad impression in front of him.
