Firstly I was interested in this college for its infrastructure and location,secondly for being one of the top tier colleges under wbjee and also due to comparatively less tuition fees in the entire course,being a government college
Course Curriculum Overview
I think the college is reasonably good.several tech and non tech companies visit this college.It consists of 4 years of B.tech course and has 6 departments of engineering mainly IT,ECE,CSE,ME,CE,EE.The faculties are reasonably good
Placement Experience
Several companies such as Infosys,Cognizant,TCS,CTS visit our college.Average package offered is 3.6 Lpa.This year several students achieved place in major technological company such as amazon through off campus.
College Events
Our college consists of two fests,the technical fest,Sristi and the cultural fest,Jeclat.They take place every year in the end of February and March respectively.The students of 1st and 2nd year try to participate in them as these are conducted by 3rd and 4th years respectively.Students from many institutions participate in these fests.these fests consist of a number of events.
Campus Life
Actually my college contains a huge number of clubs such as Edc,Jyoti,Writers club,coders club,sports club etc.Our hostel rooms are large enough and 3 students are alloted in each room.It consists of Lan connection with reasonable speed for each student.Our college provides facilities to develop your sports skills,musical skills, communication skills,helps in providing free education to children whose financial conditions are economically unstable.
Hostel Facilities
There are 5 hostels for the students persuing B.Tech and there is no hostel for the post graduate students.For the B.tech students 4 hostels are separately alloted for the boys of 1st,2nd,3rd,4th years and one hostel is allowed for the girls of all the years residing together.Each boys hostel consist of around 68 rooms,with each containing 3 students and the girls hostel contains around 55 rooms with each containing 4 students.All the hostels provide meals for the students 2 times a day and contains a canteen for each hostel.Average hostel fees is 12000 per semester for boys and 10000 per semester for girls.For each student there is one table,one bed,one cupboard,one lan wire.
