Remarks

Faculty is overall good and supportive but management is little weak. Sometimes it seems same as government office.

Entrance Preview

I have got my seat through PTU counselling based on my AIEEE air 73047 and 79% of +2 marks. There was no interview but document verification for seat confirmation. I adopted Civil engineering.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course of each semester is well planned. Refered material helps a lot in scoring good grades. Calendar for each session is available at website before start of it.

Internships Opportunities

College visit and check the internship sites of students time to time. Most MNCs come in 7th semester.

Placement Experience

This year a number of companies have done recruitment in our college. I got placed in Infosys with 3.36 Lpa,Accenture 3.5 Lpa and qualified last interview rounds of Saint Gobain,Thermax which offered 5.75 lpa and 4.5 lpa. Companies which did recruitment this year till yet areInfosys,TCS, Saint Gobain,Thermax,Accenture,Infotech,Asahi Glass, Sapient and many more are scheduled.

College holds 2 day Tech fest Atharva in every odd semester.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is not that expensive. Approx 50K each semester including hostel charges. But I was blessed with scholarship seat by PTU in which tuition fees worth 30K is offered by them.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarships are offered by collegelike PTU fee waiver scholarship,minority scholarship and other various organizations' scholarships. I am a PTU FWS holder too.

Campus Life

Extra co-curricular activities helps a lot in grooming up of students. Sex ratio is maintained. I have seen no case of ragging and racism here in this college. Various tech. societies like SCIE,ACES,ISTE,E2S2 work for development of students and organize events time to time.

Hostel Facilities

There are 3 hostels for boys. 1ST year boys hostel with better rooms with attached washrooms and better guard facility than other senior hostels. 2nd year hostel. 3rd and final year boys hostel with single rooms. Rooms are comforted with bed,almirah,chair and tables. Girls have single hostel but with seniority blocks. Mess food is healty and nourishing with about 2000 mess diet every month. Hostel cahrges are 9000 each semester.

External Expense: Rs. 4000 - Rs. 7000

Alumni/Alumna

I have made a strong bond with teachers and seniors through societies and they all are very supportive. We together have arranged various conferences and fests.

Exam Structure

Monthly sessional tests are every month in continuous 3 days and at last vivas and Final Exams within period of 3 weeks.

Placement Experience:

Here, the placement drive starts at the beginning of the 5th semester and goes till the end of the 8th semester. Here, all MNC like Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Capgemini, and many other companies come to our campus for hiring. In the very last year 2 students got selected with a prestigeous 2.5cr & 1 cr packages.

Placement Experience:

From 5th semester onwards students are eligible for the campus placement. Either they get internship or they get placement offers . Number of companies visited are more than 50. I will give some examples of some best companies like google , microsoft, accenture, virtusa, lenovo , Paypal, shadii. Com , JP morgan and many more other good companies visit to our college. Highest package last year was 52 lakh and the average package was 6 lakhs . More than 70 percent Student are getting placement. My plans after the degree is to get a good job in a good company

The course curriculum should be rated on how useful and complete it is. A good one covers all important topics like Software , Networking , Automata , SQLetc. it is mix theory and practical work . For CSE studendent there are coding laguage like C++ in 3rd sem and DSA in 4th semester.

As this college was nearest to my home . It is. Also one the most popular college in Punjab. It is most affordable college . I didn't applied to any other college . The admission here was from 2 rounds of open counseling and I got admission in 2 nd round. The cutoff for my course was about 85%. There was no such exam as entrance exam .
