My college,My life

College is good but need to hire more qualified and experience faculty and job opportunities to students needs to be given more and apart from this college is great for an engineering.

For taking admission into the engineering college i had to appear in AIEEE,WBJEE and kit. After getting a 34000 rank in WBJEE i decided to go for counselling, after counselling i found seat in imps college of engineering & technology in computer science & engineering branch. At the time of admission the placement of my college was so good thats why i came to take admission in this college.

Computer science and engineering is a wonderful branch and one should have the basic knowledge of computer before going to take admission into any engineering college because it may help you to grab and learn the course curriculum easily. Apart from this course is full of mathematics and coding parts.

Yes college sometimes organise internship program for students but in the most intership program students have to pay the money to join those intership. I have also done a 45 days intership in MCPAL company in core java and it was nice expierence and after completing the internship they gave me certificate for that so i think college should organised more intership program regularly.

Placement of my college is not going well from last two year and almost 40% students get placed into the different compaines and in this year almost 25 students are placed out of 250 students wipro,takeahapers,eclerx are the companies which come for placement. These companies offer 2.3 lakhs per annum salary package. So i think college should provide more job opportunities so that students get more chances for placement.

College organised some events. Biswakrma puja,teachers day,fresher party and sarswati puja are some popular events of my college in fresher parties some cultural program are performed by college students and this fresher party is mainly organised for new students because through this they come to know about their college. Every Fresher is absolutely fabulous for me because in these programs we all friends make all fun and dance in presence of music.

College fees structure is not too expensive in compare to some other private college. At the time of admission one has to pay 20000 rupees as a admission charge to wbut and after that in each semester (6th month) you have to pay about 39500 rupees and extra 10000 rupees has to pay for security and caution money and these 10000 rupees are refundable in 8th semester. If anyone want to stay in hostel then they have to pay 20000 rupees per semester.

College does not offer any scholarship to any students college helps students in taking loan through the banks and provides details information to the students and some students gets caste based scholarship from state government for study and i am also getting a scholarship from state govt of west bengal in obc category and i think scholarship is a good way to provide a education to poor people and college should give scholarship to poor students.

My campus life in my college till now is great and i have learnt so much from this campus life and may be something is still remaining to learn. The gender ratio of my college is 7:3 in terms of maleand female and sports which are played are cricket,football,bolleyboll and badminton. I especially like to play cricket and in the annual sports of college i got a prize in long jump and apart from this there are so many good memory of college campus.

Hostel of my college is wonderful and rooms are in good and there is attach bathroom facility and in each room 2 students has to stay in share and the capacity of hostel is about 350 students and there is two separate hostel for boys and girls and the food of hostel is very healthy and tasty and for thats college charges 20000 rupees for one semester(6 month) and mess food quality is not good but students can stay in low rental cost in mess. So i would prefer hostel in place of mess because of its better quality and facilities.

My college seniors are very good and they are friendly in nature and they are very much helful. They always share their college experience with us and also guide in our study and in also exam time they try to help us if any students go for some help in study. College also organises alumni for the seniors after 10 years and in each alumni past 10 years seniors are invited and in this alumni they are allowed to share their own college experience. This is also great opportunities to the juniors to come to know their seniors closely.

Exam of our college is organised by wbut university and there are two internal exam taken in each semester both of 30 marks and average of both is send to the university for semester exam and in semester exam 70 marks of theory exam is taken and combing internal(30 marks)thoery (70 marks ) you have to score 40 marks to pass that paper and lab exam is also conduted and lab marks is being send on lab files,lab exam.

Sorry to say that but the faculty of my college is not upto the mark and they have lack of experience and they are not able to teach course and also not able to solve the doubts of students.
