Course Curriculum Overview
Nitk has a high standard curriculum which contains all the required courses for getting good job opportunities, The schedule is made in a efficient manner so that the student gets enough time to get relaxed and participate in other activities. Labs were of normally good maintainance, which contain all the required equipment. Faculties are good enough to clarify once individual doubt and are available through email any time.
Placement Experience
Placement oppurtunities are extraordinarily. Many top MNCs such as google amazon microsoft have visited and hired students with high packages. I don't know much about the placement procedure but sufficiently maintained cgpa according with innovative project and good communication skills help one to get available for placing. NITK has a vast alumni network and are very helpful in the placement procedure. They are always in contact with our campus members and provide good assistance for upcoming graduates in thier placement process.
College Events
There is one technical fest conducted every year named "ENGINEER" in which students are allowed to do projects in their areas of interest and several technical companies will arrive and show their innovate projects to develop interest in students. Along with a cultural programs on last day of technical fest. Cultural fest in NITK is known as the second largest fest in india and the largest fest in south india. It is named as "INCIDENT" which is held for complete 3days. There are many cultural events held like dance events,games,pro shows(full 3 nights),flash mobs,beach events, inspirational talks,music nights etc,.
Campus Life
Campus infrastructure is good enough for a student to perform research in his area of interest, tha labs contains enough equipment required for the courses adopted. There is a vast ground which contains separate areas different sports along with all the required equipment. There is also a place for all the indoor games such as carroms,chess,table tennis,badminton etc., There is high speed wifi broad band which has a dialy limit of 10gb and there is also a computer centre with high speed internet connection which enables students to perform reasearch. There is vast and peaceful central library which contains all the required books in sufficient quantities.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel infrastructure is not up to the mark,it is ok for sustainability. Water and sanitation facilities are good,laundry facility is also available with reasonable prices, well maintained general washrooms with regular cleaning. There are 3 members per room for first year and there is option for taking single or two members per room during second year of btech. 3rd and final year students have separate rooms for each. There are separate blocks for each year students. Girls have separate hostel blocks which are highly secured. Mess food is good enough which suits for people coming from all over india. Paid canteen is also available for those whose doesn't like to eat food in mess.
