Well I will not say that I miss my college days. The placement cell is fantastic and rest of the things are like any other high school,college.

I took WBJEE rank 705 best private engineering college in West Bengal was the 2nd student to get into this college in the year 2004. Selection process was through counselling.

College does not provide internship. If someone is interested then he,she has to take the matters into his own hand and interact with the placement cell of the college or senior professors who have good contacts with the companies which provide internship.

Excellent. Almost every year 100% of the students are absorbed. I got placed into 3 companies. TCS was the first company which took almost 70% of the batch strength (including me). Then 7-8 other companies came some like Infosys,IBM,Sasken etc in dream slot which allowed students already placed.

In the 4 years I was at the college there was a cultural fest held over a period of 4 days. Students from different other colleges from India participated in it. Then there was an industrial,educational fest held as well which highlighted the projects done by the college students.

It was on-par with other private engineering college Rs 15,600 per semester. (8 times in 4 year)Apart from these there were payments taken twice Rs 200 per year as the examination charges and a one time payment per year of Rs 1000. This was for the batch 2004-08. By the time it was 2008 the per semester fees was increased to 21000.

Loans are offered to the students who need financial assistance. Students needing loan can get in touch with college authorities and they will help the students in getting the required loan.

There was no campus life to speak of. The college constituted of a building and a canteen. If you don't want to attend the class then the only option you have is to get out of college we normally went to a friend's house to play cricket or went to City centre. Boys:Girls ratio was like 4:1.

College did not have hostel within its campus. Not a big campus. They took flats in the nearby buildings,complex and provided them to the students who were not from Kolkata. Students from Kolkata were not offered hostels. Mess was ok and the service was not cheap by Kolkata standard.

There is no alumni network of the college. The college is situated at a very good location in the middle of IT hub and you will get lots of information about the college by just roaming around it.

It was neither hectic nor very chilled out. You will have to complete all the lab assignments on time to get good score in the practical exams which were the ones where you can score more. As already mentioned it was like a high school. Theory classes were fine with only the front benchers paying attention and students at the back enjoying.

Most of the faculties are good. They are highly experienced and if a student listens them properly then no additional help(tuition) is required. Almost the entire topics in each semester are completed on time. Practical lessons are given more weightage and are conducted properly.
