Remarks

I have chosen this university because of its location. I wanted to stay near my hometown. My aunt also lives in Asansol. It also has a hostel facility that is not able in most of the colleges in West Bengal.

Course Curriculum Overview

Our course is pretty much related to the branch.Various industry subjects are not included. It is strictly related to the department papers.Faculties member are very nice.The departmental teachers help their students in each and very thing.

I have not applied for any internship till now.

Many famous companies come to our college like TCS. Most of the students of the IT/CSE/ ECE department are placed. The placement department is very concerned about their student getting good jobs. The entrepreneur cell is very active in the college.

College Events

College clubs organizes various tech fests. During the time of festivals cultural events are organized. They events are almost held in the campus by the held to the students. Any student can participate.

Fees and Financial Aid

I personally have no idea of the loans provided by college.I have not availed any loan or scholarship through the college.

Campus Life

Various sports related events are organised in the college for both boys and girls.Sport's day is also organised. Wifi is available for the hosteliltes. Book are provided by the library faculty. A wide sitting area is available for the student to read in the library.Equiments are fine to work with.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facility are available to all the students who so ever wishes to stay in hostel. There are separate hostel and mess for boys and girls. There is a intime of 6:00pm. Hostel rooms are decent.One room has 2 students.

Hostel Fee: INR 46000 per year

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
