This college is average college with excellent infrastructure and corporate connections. The education curriculum and atmosphere within the campus is soothing for students overall betterment.
Entrance Preview
I have joined the MBA-AIT Advanced Information Technology Course in September 2005 batch. I took the CAT examination and got 91 Percentile marks. I had done my Bachelors in Information Technology and always wanted to do MBA in Information Technology since then. This college was listed in the CAT Admission Form and the Course curriculum and Course structure was really commendable on those years. There were very few colleges in India offering similar colleges with decent repute. This was one of the most important reasons for me to opt for this college. I got Interview call based on my application and the CAT results. The Interview process was challenging but upto current demands of Information and Management mix of aptitude required by graduates.
Course Curriculum Overview
The Course Structure was a mix of theoretical and practical based of learning. The course comprised of ERP (SAP),SAS Analytics programming,Software Engineering along with General Management,Financial,Human Resource and Information Technology Management subjects. The subjects were mainly case study based and practical oriented that encouraged and enhanced presentation and communication skills along with subject knowledge.
Internships Opportunities
Yes my college provided internship to deserving students ans assisted students to avail internship from the industry while studying in last trimester. The general Stipend was Rs. 5000 to Rs 8000. The overall experience of studying and competitiveness of the environment was quite challenging and refreshing.
Placement Experience
On an average about 80% of the students gets placed through Placement. Infosys,IBM,L&T,Cognizant,Wipro,HP,Accenture were few companies that visited the campus during 2007. The average salary offered was INR 6.00 lakhs whereas the highest salary offered was INR 12 lakhs with minimum salary offered was INR 2.5 lakhs.
College Events
Annual events are organized each year that includes Technical Quizzes,Programming tests,General Quizzes,Management Quizzes,events and games,Cultural events, Workshops,Tech talks etc to keep students motivated and engaged. The annual event comprised of bringing in people from Music,Corporate and Event Management companies to conduct a engaging and refreshing environment for students.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure was feasible and not expensive although Bank provides education loans. The fee was divided into semester wise payment structure that included separate charges for Hostel accomodation food and Library expenses. The fee structure was at that time INR 307000 including INR 25000 as Registration,Admission fee.
Fees and Financial Aid
College didn't provided any loan facility as per my knowledge though it provided scholarships for deserving students who scored in top 3% of scores.
Campus Life
The college interview and intake process was very transparent and baed on that the gender ratios were 60/40 for Boys/Girls. All students has to stay in campus hostels. Students from various countries used to come for higher studies. This college has no reservations for gender,caste,religion or colour.
Hostel Facilities
There were 3 in-campus hostels. Each hostel had Single occupancy,Double Occupancy,3 occupancy and 4 occupancy based. The food was common for all and it was quite good. The food was hygienic,comprised of mix of different types of foods based at peoples from various parts of the country. The food was provided in specific time slots each for breakfast,lunch and Dinner.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni network is always strengthened as every year a new batch passes out and they join our internal alumni network. They in coming years when rise above the ladder in corporate world, brings their company to their college to hire talents which assists college placement events.
Exam Structure
Exam structure was very competitive with adequate facilities for students to get themselves chilled out. Exam structure was a mix of theory and practical exam based. Most of the subjects had Lab examinations attached with the theory exams. The scores of both the exams were taken as percentages and added to cumulative grading system.
Faculty
The faculty of the college were a mix of college recruited professors full time (MBA from reputed colleges with 10+ years of Teaching experience) as well as visiting faculty from IIMs,SPJIMR and Symbiosis college. Each Faculty was rated by the students as well as seniors and fellow professors and based on the ratings the teaching was also made competitive.
