Remarks
DBIT is a sport centric college, and the infrastructure of the college is really good. I choose BE IT because for me, computers and coding is passion. And to pursue that passion, I chose DBIT, because the faculty helps the students to participate in competitions.
Course Curriculum Overview
Our college is affiliated to Mumbai University, like every other college in Mumbai. The syllabus is handled by MU. Subjects on new topics like ML, AI is rare, but DBIT Faculty ensures that students are in touch with the latest technologies, by conducting workshops which are out of curriculum.
Internships Opportunities
I was given an opportunity to do a work from home- internship with Reliance Jio during the COVID 19 situation.
Placement Experience
Companies like Cisco, AWS, Royal Enfield are some main ones that come during placement drive. These companies provide one of the best packages to few students only.
College Events
DBIT has two main events. Sports and Cultural Fest, Hysteria and Tech Fest, Colosseum. Hysteria is where you can compete with other branches in sports fields. Its one of the most important fests of DBIT. Football, kabbadi, cricket etc. every sport competition takes place during hysteria. Colosseum is the best fest, due to its webinars, interactive events and mainly High on Films event, where famous directors of some special series or movies, come to college and chat with the students. Colosseum provides students entertainment and knowledge due to its events.
Campus Life
DBIT has three sport grounds. The college provides sports equipment to students, so that they can play on the grounds. Computer Labs are fine. Wifi is highly secured and very slow, you can connect to it, by registering your laptop to the college server room. Library is very good, there is ample sitting space, books on every topic is available and even digital books are available.
