Remarks

It is the only sikh minority college in Delhi offering engineering courses. General category students don't even get admission here at 70-80k rank in JEE mains but sikh students can easily get even at a rank of 10lakh.

Course Curriculum Overview

Syllabus is very very lagging behind and we are not taught about latest technologies here. Only a few teachers keep themselves updated about the latest changes and discoveries. Faculty have a good knowledge of their subjects.

Placement Experience

More than 100 students get placed in a mass recruitor company at 3.6lpa. So getting placed is not a difficult task but to get a good package is. Only one student has managed to cross 20lpa package till now. And every year there are hardly 5-6 students getting 6lakh+ package

College Events

GATES is the annual fest conducted here. If you are a fan of Punjabi singers then this is the fest you can't miss as famous Punjabi singers are invited to perform and rock the stage. Some singers who hsve performed here are legend Gurdaas Maan, Diljit Dosanjh,sharry Maan, Mankirat Aulakh, Dilpreet Dhillon, Guri, Ninja, Ammy Virk.

Good Exposure in Event Management Field

Placement Experience:

Placements at my college are average, students become eligible from around the 5th semester. A few companies visit for recruitment, offering roles in entry level positions. The average package is moderate, while higher package are limited. Around 70 to 80% of students get placed. I plan to focus on skill development and explore better opportunities after completing my degree.

The faculty of English honours department is fully supportive of the students, the faculty members do not just give theory or bookish knowledge but also help us improve our communication in English language. We have studied many areas of literature within the course offered- ROMANTIC LITERATURE, EUROPEAN LITERATURE, INDIAN LITERATURE, AMERICAN LITERATURE, DALIT LITERATURE AND EVEN REGIONAL LITERATURE TRANSLATED IN ENGLISH. Aspects of the GGSIP University

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very relevant as it contains useful concepts which a management student should know. And the concepts are very comprehensive and easy to understand. Examples are given in the curriculum which prepares us for the real world. Some teachers use the presentation based teaching which is good and should be encouraged. The exams are not that difficult for one who is atleast decent in studies.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester. I don't know a lot about campus placements but I know that there is a training and placement cell in our college that provides good packages to many students. Some students got more than 7lpa last year. I will be doing my Post graduation after college and will make a career in academics.

I applied to all the colleges that come under GGSIPU and in the 1st round I got HMR and in the 2nd round of IPU counselling I got this college and then I booked this seat and got my seat allotment letter after paying 60000 for the required seat allotment fees! I chose this college over HMR because HMR is very far away from my home and this college is still nearer as compared to HMR As I said I applied to all the GGSIPU colleges but I got HMR is first round which is very far away from my college so I didnt chose it. So i didnt get rejection from any other college! The admisision process is very simple. You get the college on the basis of your JEE MAINS rank. The cutoff for this college is you'll get CSE branch if your rank is below 3L and CSE specialised branch if rank is below 5L for IT below 6-7L....Read More

Eligibility of this course and admission in college is 60% in pcm in 12 boards exam and jee mains entrance exams with good percentile. We can apply and find application form from GGSIPU site and we can fill the registration form and application form from there own site .Dates are mentioned on the GGSIPU website so you can check there.
