Remarks

No. 1 in the country for hotel management. Established in 1962. No. 1 from many years. Very good teachers. Practical sessions/classes. Gym. Volleyball court. Basketball court. Hostel facility. Big cafeteria. Lots of co-curricular activities. Events like annual day, freshers, farewell, teachers day and on every festival. Located in capital of city. Part of the PUSA university. Surrounded by greenery. Lots of options for accommodation. Nearby markets, metro stations, bus stops.100% placement.

Course Curriculum Overview

Enough industrial exposure was provided. Industrial training for 17 weeks in a hotel for all 4 departments - food production, House keeping, Food and beverage service, Front office. Excellent faculty. Good ones - Mr. Anil Goyal Mr. Vipul Mrs. Vandita Mr. Ashish

Very good placements. 100%. The oberoi group, TAJ group, ITC group, Hilton Group, Accor group, Hotel groups, REBEL group, Retail companies. 6- 7 rounds for placements. GD, PI TRADE TESTS, ROUND WITH GENERAL MANAGER PRACTICAL TESTS. Many alumni working for the placements in the official college group on Facebook, job referrals.

Good Exposure in Event Management Field

Placement Experience:

Placements at my college are average, students become eligible from around the 5th semester. A few companies visit for recruitment, offering roles in entry level positions. The average package is moderate, while higher package are limited. Around 70 to 80% of students get placed. I plan to focus on skill development and explore better opportunities after completing my degree.

The course i am engaged is BA HONOURS ENGLISH in DAULAT RAM COLLEGE, UNIVERSITY OF DELHI, the course offered is comprehensive, interesting and detailed. The faculty of English honours department is fully supportive of the students, the faculty members do not just give theory or bookish knowledge but also help us improve our communication in English language. We have studied many areas of literature within the course offered- ROMANTIC LITERATURE, EUROPEAN LITERATURE, INDIAN LITERATURE, AMERICAN LITERATURE, DALIT LITERATURE AND EVEN REGIONAL LITERATURE TRANSLATED IN ENGLISH. Aspects of the GGSIP University

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very relevant as it contains useful concepts which a management student should know. And the concepts are very comprehensive and easy to understand. Examples are given in the curriculum which prepares us for the real world. Some teachers use the presentation based teaching which is good and should be encouraged. The exams are not that difficult for one who is atleast decent in studies.

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester. I don't know a lot about campus placements but I know that there is a training and placement cell in our college that provides good packages to many students. Some students got more than 7lpa last year. I will be doing my Post graduation after college and will make a career in academics.

The NCHMCT, organises an exam under the name of NCHM-JEE, where students who wish to apply and pursue their careers into the hospitality sector can appear and give the exam. There are mainly three category of colleges - Government, Semi-Government and Private Institutions. As per the rank accquired by the examinee, the colleges are alloted to the particular student based on the preference of the colleges asked.
