Jagannath International Management School (JIMS) Vasant Kunj is considered to be one of the top colleges in Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University for B(A)JMC. It has good infrastructure and faculty. It provides good exposure and campus crowd is good.
Course Curriculum Overview
Yes, our senior alumni and teachers are very supportive and helpful for all the students. Teachers are well versed with their respective subjects. But I can not say that all of them are well versed, you might find a teacher who can give you a hard time. But rest of all faculty members are great and supportive. The curriculum is framed in a good way and provides holistic development to a student.
Placement Experience
The students became eligible for campus placement in final year. There are lot of companies that visited the campus for placement offers. The placement record is quite good though, our alumni are working everywhere in the industry. With respect to mass communication student, I have observed that the college provide placement and internships with well-known organisations that is THE HINDU, THE TIMES OF INDIA and many more as per students interest.
College Events
The institute offers a number of cultural societies such as, Fitoor- Dance Society, Prabandhan- Management Society, Swara- Music Society, Folklore- Folk Pratibimbh- Dramatics Society and many more. I would suggest you to join a society of your interest to enjoy the campus life more. Fests are organized by these societies from time to time. We also had some top-class faculty visiting from the industry for guest lectures and seminars.
Campus Life
The facilities are quite normal. We have lab classes, library is good and provides a large number of books on every course. The college is air conditioned. There's no medical room in the campus. Canteen food is unhygienic and the canteen itself is not that hygienic. There's no such area for sports and games as our college campus is literally one building.
