Remarks

The NIRF ranking of this Institute is 1. The pharmacy department is well reputed. The course was initially a backup plan to my desired MBBS career. Since, I could not get a sufficient rank for MBBS I chose the next best plan of Pharmacy. The college is in a lucious and safe campus.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course syllabus is defined by the PHARMACY COUNCIL OF INDIA, which is the central council. Starting from 2017, they have implemented a new syllabus which is being followed. The course is taught in adherence to the same. Industrial exposure is not provided by the college, however teachers are supportive in case students approach them for referrals to industry. They help arrange internships.

Internships Opportunities

Internship was In Arbro Pharmaceutical in the BIO-ANALYTICAL DIVISION. No stipend, unpaid internship. The internship was through teachers referall and alumni linking. A hastle free process and encouraging experience.

Placement Experience

3

There is fair placement in the campus. In the pharmacy department the companies such as Eli-Lilly, cipla come every year for early placements. The other companies include Sunpharma, Aimil Pharmaceutical, Wings Pharmaceutical, Arbro Pharmaceutical, Hamdard Labs, Dabur etc. Alumni networking is pretty strong and every year our campus holds an alumni meet and they help us in jobs as well.

College Events

2.5

There is one cultural and literary university fest every academic year. It is an inter-departmental fest which lasts for 3 days. It consist of debates, music, dance, essay wroting, shayari etc. Competitions. Simultaneously, we have a sports week with equal men and women representation in the college. It includes team sports, individual sports and athletics.

Campus Life

The campus pretty huge with an active hustling life. It has a sports Complex with a basketball court, volleyball court, football ground, cricket ground for outdoor sports. Rest are badminton court, table tennis court, chess and carrom facilities (indoor). The campus also provides students with wofi which is charged in the fees. There are 2 libraries: Departmental library ( department building) which consist of all pharmacy related books and a Central Library (in a seperate building inside campus) includes all subject books. There are computer labs and since practicals are an essential part of pharmacy education there are various labs for each subject like Chemistry, pharmacology, pharmacognosy, pharmaceutical and microbioogy.

Placement Experience:

Placements at my college are average, students become eligible from around the 5th semester. A few companies visit for recruitment, offering roles in entry level positions. The average package is moderate, while higher package are limited. Around 70 to 80% of students get placed. I plan to focus on skill development and explore better opportunities after completing my degree.

The placements of MAIT are decent as compared to market conditions. But the data shown on website or availble at various platforms is not the reality. The mass chunk of students who get a job are placed under and around 6LPA package.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very relevant as it contains useful concepts which a management student should know. And the concepts are very comprehensive and easy to understand. Examples are given in the curriculum which prepares us for the real world. Some teachers use the presentation based teaching which is good and should be encouraged. The exams are not that difficult for one who is atleast decent in studies.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

The course offers many things for students interms of their further academic pursuits or any placement they are looking for. Talking about the areas of improvement and teaching methods there are none. The exams of the respective subject are to happen. They take test 1 , test 2 and there is final exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.
