Remarks

Wanted to join Hospitality Industry, IHM PUSA is one of the finest hospitality colleges in the country. The faculty is the best thing you can find as also the hands on experience you get is amazing. The course is affiliated to IGNOU and you also have to appear for exams related to subjects of IGNOU.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course syllabus gets updated time to time for the students to be worldly wise when they step out in the challenging world. There is also a entire semester dedicated to the industrial training which is the best thing of the course.

Internships Opportunities

Internship at ITC MAURYA New Delhi, 3000 per month

Placement Experience

4.5

Placements and job opportunities are the best thing here From Taj hotels to ITC you can join hotel industry, retail sector as well

College Events

3.5

The events that take place in the college are the attractions where in we have various teams that coordinate with each other to make all the events outstanding. Also students are given the opportunity to work at various finest locations such as the Rashtrapati Bhavan. The participation in such events are only based on the skills of the students.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is no scholarship available but you can opt for bank loans for the fees. I don't know of the loans in detail but you can definitely get help from the college authorities.

Campus Life

The campus is not very big but other facilities are very much not in place, there is no WiFi but the equipment in kitchens and the range of books in the library are amazing. Sports facilities are also very much in place where you can play a variety of games from badminton to football, cricket, basketball table tennis and lawn tennis too.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel rooms are on a triple seater and single seater basis with the fees for single seater as high as 95000 for a year, only to mention that the warden is the best thing you can find there After the first year you are kicked out of the hostel just as we remove a fly from our tea. The hostel is not at all air conditioned and there is also no WiFi, even the TV subscription has to be paid by the students only. The Pg rentals nearby are approximately from 7000 to 15000 per month depending upon the area where the room is located.

Placement Experience:

Placements at my college are average, students become eligible from around the 5th semester. A few companies visit for recruitment, offering roles in entry level positions. The average package is moderate, while higher package are limited. Around 70 to 80% of students get placed. I plan to focus on skill development and explore better opportunities after completing my degree.

The placements of MAIT are decent as compared to market conditions. But the data shown on website or availble at various platforms is not the reality. The mass chunk of students who get a job are placed under and around 6LPA package.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very relevant as it contains useful concepts which a management student should know. And the concepts are very comprehensive and easy to understand. Examples are given in the curriculum which prepares us for the real world. Some teachers use the presentation based teaching which is good and should be encouraged. The exams are not that difficult for one who is atleast decent in studies.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

The course offers many things for students interms of their further academic pursuits or any placement they are looking for. Talking about the areas of improvement and teaching methods there are none. The exams of the respective subject are to happen. They take test 1 , test 2 and there is final exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Some students got more than 7lpa last year. I will be doing my Post graduation after college and will make a career in academics.
