Remarks

Its a good establishment. Students should take care of their needs and discuss it appropriately with the concerned authorities. That's the only downside of private non-top-tier colleges. Students should ensure all their needs are met.

Entrance Preview

WBJEE, I scored 10, 000 rank which is quite bad. But fortunately, I got computer science in this college, few seats were left. I also chose this college since it is affilated to WBUT and part of the Techno India group of Colleges in West Bengal.

Internships Opportunities

There are industrial training opportunities. Internship opportunities should be sought out by the candidates themselves. But college provides full support to students regarding the same.

Placement Experience

3

Due to the location of the college is the basic reason for less on-campus placements. But Techno India group has done good pool placements for mass recruiters like TCS etc. During my time I had already sat in 7+ placement opportunities before I got placed. Lot of support was provided by the placement cell of the college throughout. But they provide no support for people who have not been placed in the initial placement drives. They should ensure maximum on-campus placements.

College Events

2.5

Fresher's Welcome- Annual Cultural Fest Phoenix- Annual Tech Fest, Technix, SMIT has its own large sports ground at which all types of events are conducted annually. The massive lush green even surface is the venue where many epic events have occurred, providing an amazing experience to the students and guests.

Fee Structure And Facilities

During my tenure, the overall cost for the entire course was around 3 Lakh. Around 35K per semester for 8 semesters. Hostel stay was Rs 2, 000 per month. There is lot of accommodation in PG/Mess type of establishments. around the college campus. Which range from 800-2500 per month as per quality and offerings.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college is tied up with several private banks for Loans. There are several scholarship initiatives by the Govt. of West Bengal which the college will help out with if applicable.

Campus Life

3

Since the college is situated in a village/town, outside college activities are not much there. But it is 2 hrs away from Kolkata. So that's good for people for weekend visits. The entire Techno India group colleges are well connected so event participation across colleges are common.

Hostel Facilities

3

They has residential facilities for both boys and girls separately. The Hostel rooms are spacious and well-furnished. Local Area Network and internet connectivity are available for the students to work on their own laptops, provided by SMIT. Sports and other recreational facilities are also present. Food is adequate and well-provided, with variety.

Alumni/Alumna

There is an official Alumni Association of the college. The main aim of this association is to show their support to to the college in any ways possible and to work together for its betterment in all aspects.

Faculty

The teaching staff are excellent and very friendly. Their teaching capability are such that we all were enjoying at class room. The management also are very much friendly. They have all practical instruments which is very helpful to get transparent idea. This college has huge collections of learning books, text books and magazines which is very helpful for students. We really miss those days. We had a good life there. We have learned so many things from them.Even now our teachers are in touch with us like a friend. We enjoyed playing football in the college ground. But they are still connected with us. At last day our teachers gave us farewell party which was not ever been forgettable.

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
