It is a well reputed Central University so the cost of education, hostel and food is very less compared to other places. There is freedom inside the campus. It has a beautiful campus and Pondicherry is a very beautiful place itself.
Course Curriculum Overview
Faculties need to interact more with the student and bed more regular when it comes to taking class. They should update the syllabus more frequently. The placement cell needs to function more efficiently.
Placement Experience
As I mentioned earlier, the placement cell needs to fuction mkre efficiently. Zoho and SGI Global are the 2 companies that I can recall who came for placements. The Alumni network is not as strong as other colleges.
College Events
There are many events that take place throughout the year from football tournaments to management fest, cultural events. There are not much technical events that happen inside our college. They are famous for theatre workshops organized by the performing arts department. Every group students have the liberty and freedom to conduct festivals depending on the number of people willing to participate.
Fees and Financial Aid
Top 3 students from each department are eligible for merit scholarship, and next three students from each department are eligible for merit-cum-mean scholarships depending on their family's annual income.
Campus Life
The sports facilities need to upgraded, wifi is available across the campus. Sometimes the speed really test your patience but still manageable. The library is one of the best things about the place. They also have a dedicated reading room in the annex building with charging ports and wifi to help students study peacefully.
Hostel Facilities
Yes. I had opted for hostel rooms. For undergraduate and post graduate students, there are 3 person per room with 2 cupboards, 2 tables and 2 chairs and single rooms for PHD students with one furniture each and two research scholar scholar per room in only one hostel. The room rent was 900 rupees per student for UG and PG
