Preeti Singh's Review On Miranda House, New Delhi

I chose bachelors in chemistry because I have always had a profound love for this subject since school times, especially organic chemistry. And I don't think there could be a better college than Miranda house in India to pursue this course from. Located in hub of colleges, it is safe for girls and has good connectivity to other parts of Delhi NCR. The crowd is huge and amazing and this college not only aims at capacity building through academics but also stresses on extracurricular activities to empower girls and make them bold and independent. Kamla Nagar market is nearby for students to wander in free time.

The faculty of our department is well qualified, experienced, encouraging, energetic having industrial expertise under their belts. Their teaching methodology comprises interesting ways using digital tools, practical sessions and PowerPoint presentations apart from books. However, I wish they conduct more industrial visits for our knowledge enhancement. The course curriculum is carefully designed as per the needs of the students in order to make them industry ready and is formulated as per the guidelines of Delhi University.

The Campus and its crowd, both are gigantic. Various workshops, webinars and seminars are conducted in the college where various industry and corporate experts give their talks and share their profound knowledge with students along with opportunities that lie ahead of us. Educational and recreational trips are organized apart from competitions, events, debates conducted by various student societies. Freshers, farewell party, founder's day, annual fest Tempest is organized having participants from across Delhi NCR in enormous amounts. There are NSS, NCC units to train and strengthen girls along with various clubs.

The infrastructure is of exceptional quality. The Campus has Wifi coverage with good internet speed and is entirely under CCTV surveillance. There are 3 canteens offering delicious foods at reasonable prices. The classrooms and labs are refurbished and well equipped with digital tools, instruments and benches and tables. Library is decked up with piles of books, magazines, references and special resources for blind students. The playground is not big, consistently getting squeezed due to new building construction, but well maintained and proper practice and training is given to students for sports activities. The hostel is spacious, clean, safe and mess provides good quality hygienic food. Medical facilities are available and watercoolers are deployed in the Campus providing clean RO water.
