Remarks

I got 95.25% as my best 4 in class 12th board examination and I really wanted North Campus as a place of my graduation. So after the fourth list I had 2-3 options but as Ramjas is a pretty famous college to be in as I heard and read into it, I finally took admission in Ramjas.

Course Curriculum Overview

As per the course it's a good choice, you get ample opportunities as far as the jobs are concerned. The syllabus is also manageable and well curated. I learnt a lot of new things. Income Tax being one of the most interesting one. I did have problems with some of my faculty as I expected it to be better. A few teachers were very helpful like my Business Law teacher Mrs Nitika, she always waves cheerfully at students whenever one crosses her.

Internships Opportunities

I did a few in my first year. They were mostly Content Writing and I got it from some references which were not connected to the college. I did Hindustan Times Reviews internship, and Eduperience which were both unpaid. While I worked as a proof reader for Oxford Publication which paid ?2000/50 Pages.

Placement Experience

3.5

This year we saw Deloitte, KPMG, EY, in the main line whereas a lot of other big names came for jobs. For B.Com top profiles offered are generally Auditing, HR, Finance, and sometimes Content Writer. Last year, my seniors started a company 'Yourshell' which provides PG accommodation to students in campus area. It is a well known service now. And a few of my batch mates are also planning and working on an idea that is yet to be launched.

College Events

5

ECA societies are the soul of Ramjas. Being from Literary Society myself, not only I made a lot of friends from that but I also learnt and discovered myself. We had rain dance party for our freshers, it was an eventful day. In my three years of the course, we only had fest once. That doesn't sound good but even then every now and then we have events at all levels. I attended two of my best conferences in college, Amitabh Ghosh and Jayati Ghosh. Raveesh Kumar, Chaar Yaar, every year's Dastan Goi, were some of those. And also to top it all we have ECA night which is a celebration of art itself. Ramjas isn't the one to call big names but I can't think of any other college with more energy.

Campus Life

It is no monument but you will find your corner in the college for sure. We have a beautiful, vibrant amphitheatre which is rightly called the heart of Ramjas. With Dance Society practising on the stage, you can see everyone just hanging out there. And the canteen has also became so much better now. Good food with a lot of variety. And the new building is spacious and well ventilated. Even for the old building it gives you that old Delhi University vibe. All in all it makes you feel like you're alive and happy. And also bonus points if you like greenery and dogs, lots of them.

Hostel Facilities

As per my course, there was only one seat for girls which made me opt for a flat. I paid ?5000/month in Roop Nagar which is 10 minutes walking distance from Ramjas. A very lively yet peaceful place to reside in. Get a broker to help you find a flat/PG and you will be good to go.

Placement Experience:

Placements at my college are average, students become eligible from around the 5th semester. A few companies visit for recruitment, offering roles in entry level positions. The average package is moderate, while higher package are limited. Around 70 to 80% of students get placed. I plan to focus on skill development and explore better opportunities after completing my degree.

The placements of MAIT are decent as compared to market conditions. But the data shown on website or availble at various platforms is not the reality. The mass chunk of students who get a job are placed under and around 6LPA package.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very relevant as it contains useful concepts which a management student should know. And the concepts are very comprehensive and easy to understand. Examples are given in the curriculum which prepares us for the real world. Some teachers use the presentation based teaching which is good and should be encouraged. The exams are not that difficult for one who is atleast decent in studies.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

The curriculum was overall good and being a economics honours courses it was challenging at times. The course offers many things for students interms of their further academic pursuits or any placement they are looking for. Talking about the areas of improvement and teaching methods there are none. The exams of the respective subject are to happen. They take test 1 , test 2 and there is final exams.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester. I don't know a lot about campus placements but I know that there is a training and placement cell in our college that provides good packages to many students. Some students got more than 7lpa last year. I will be doing my Post graduation after college and will make a career in academics.
