I joined because SRM University is well known and reputed university in India. The University is spread over 200 acres in Andhra Pradesh capital Amaravati, which was to complete in the future. This is the reason I joined this University.
Course Curriculum Overview
The university has designed its curriculum as per the MIT eDX course. The university has collaborated with MIT, USA and UC, Berkeley. There is also a semester abroad program, in which from 3rd semester students can pursue their study in abroad for a semester. The curriculum followed here stands unmatched with that of any of the engineering institutions in India. The university provides a great platform to all the students with its semester abroad program to renowned institutions like MIT, USA, University of California, Berkeley, NTU, Singapore, etc. furnishing many opportunities for their future.
Placement Experience
Can't say anything about Amaravati yet, as it literally just got built. But SRM is known for it's good faculties, so let's hope it does too. Its first batch of Engineering students will be experiencing the placements season in 2021. So as of now, we can’t predict but its going to good as its a SRM brand as well as situated in Amravati will also be a positive point to attract big organisations which are situated in south India.
College Events
There are a lot of events going on the university every month, to be frank, I never participated in any events. We also have some fests, the fests were not as big as the IIT's and other big universities, there are somewhat big. Many local colleges will participate in the events.
