Remarks

As i got this through online councelling and few seniors said that this college is good one. And i kept it in my list of councelling and got it in online councelling and I took admission in it as my score wasn't so good I didn't get better college

Course Curriculum Overview

I would give everything average rating. First of all the labs are not so good. Teachers are not that friendly. They didn't arrange any Vocational training (Industrial Training). And everything is average one

Placement Experience

See in the brochure or website you'll see many big companies but actually that is fake mainly Tech Mahindra and Cognizant is currently recruiting from our campus but the thing is with the package and posting city balance that's not justified at all. Sometimes they offer only 15K salary but the posting is in Pune then you'll not be able to survive with that much money.

College Events

I never participated in those things as there is a blunder every year. The fests are not that enjoyable in any year. So i seriously prefer not to go there because the tiffins are not good the bands are not that intersting.

Fees and Financial Aid

No I didn't get any scholarship from my college but I got Swami Vivekananda Scholarship which is from the Government of West Bengal. You'll get 5000/month from that.

Campus Life

The lack of new edition books are huge issue. And the labs are not well equipped enough. Like we don't have computer in 1:1 ratio which was promised in the brochure. And students don't have enough scope for something creative, to do something innovative which is not good at all for an engineering college

Hostel Facilities

I'll give our hostel a 0 ratings. It's not within campus. The food quality is below average. Sometimes there is shortage of food. Don't opt for the hostel. College is not that bad but the hostel is so bad that you will leave it within few years

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

Svist review

I have applied in du, gnit and got confirmed seats in du but due to family reasons I didn't make it in du. And in gnit i didn't got a seat in cse department as it was full but it was offering me aiml. Then there was svist which was closed to my house and was providing the course.
