Remarks

According to my WBJEE rank, this college was the best suited for ECE department. Also, this college has a good reputation amongst all the private engineering colleges. The faculty members of ECE department are definitely the best here.

Course Curriculum Overview

MAKAUT course curriculum focuses mainly on the core subjects, so you get a good amount of knowledge about your specific courses. But for industrial exposure, these days, the most important factor is being well equipped with Coding, which is a bit lacking in the curriculum (other than CSE/IT branches).

Talking about ECE department, the placement is really good. Almost 80-90% of the students get placed, though some opt for higher studies as well. A lot of companies come to our college, some take online exams as well. Overall, I'll consider it good enough.

College Events

All the events are really very happening. Though the Fest is not very huge, but still you can enjoy a lot. The sports events are huge. They take place for like 3 days or so. A lot of other technological events are also happening every now and then.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
