In my rank, I think it is the best college for CSE. I am looking for a college situated in proper kolkata. It's a tire 2 college & I am satisfied with this. The communication system is pretty good as it's in the Newtown (a mega city).
Course Curriculum Overview
I must say MAKAUT is going mad day by day. They changed syllabus frequently. The syllabus, declared in the beginning of second year, had been changed in the same year i. e. in 4th sem. It's a example of sick mentality. Apart from this, college faculties are extremely good (not all the facilities). They are very helpful.
Placement Experience
In CSE, the placement are of 80-90%. Same goes for othe stream like ECE & IT. But the placement is not so well for rest of the departments. You have to study well & work hard to get a good job from that streams. The salary package is about 3-4lpa. The highest salary package was 28lpa hired by Google India.
College Events
Campus life is good. Every year technical, cultural & management festivals are organised. The freshers part also being held. But, the college can't afford famous celebrities for any event. I think it's a big negative point.
Campus Life
Frankly speaking, we have nothing facilities in sports. But, as a part of SNU, many sports facilities had been grew up. WiFi facility is there with limit of only 35MB. Library is pretty good in size, but new books are not available on time. Lab equipments are good.
