Remarks

I wanted to do my MBBS from Delhi, so as to have benefits in preparing for NEET PG exam, and Delhi has best coaching institutions for NEET PG. And as per my marks, UCMS was the best college I could have. Though my first preference was MAMC but now while studying in my college I find that it is actually better than MAMC in terms of the campus area and quality of hostel life. We have single seater rooms since first year, very important for a MBBS graduate cause you have to study really hard. College is a part of Delhi University which insures quality education. And talking of extra-curriculars, its the best among all medical colleges in Delhi.

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum of MBBS was updated from our batch-2019. Its good and has clinical exposure since first year. Faculties are also expertise in their fields, but there should be more interaction among students and faculties.

Placement Experience

4.5

It's a medical college, things are some what different. For those willing to practice just after MBBS will go for junior residency with salary around 70000. However most of the medical graduates prepare for PG exams.

College Events

5

Campus life is overall good. Yet the best part is the cultural festival of our college and because of COVID that all got ruined and so have no experience. Yet from the past stories I can say that it's something one must not miss. However in the short duration of 6-7 months prior to COVID we have celebrated Sports Arena (including 18 different indoor and outdoor sports), Lohri Party, Saraswati Puja, Holi Celebration and various other society events held by different societies of our college.

Campus Life

Sports facilities are good, includes large playgrounds and courts yet for the equipment part, they lack enough supply. No wifi, in hostel premises, only in college and library. Library has good collection yet reading space should be more considering the strength of students. Lab equipments are sufficient as for first year. However after the increase of seats in our college from 150 to 170, we face space issues in labs and so a few of us have to take the equipments and shift to the other spare room.

Hostel Facilities

Single rooms, 8_8 sq ft rooms plus attached balcony with each room. Although old construction yet you can do interior as per your choice at your own cost. Common bathrooms and toilets (4 bathrooms and 4 toilets and 4 washbasins for 25 rooms). 24 hour electricity. No wifi in Hostel yet you can have your own. Good security. Greenery all around.

Placement Experience:

Placements at my college are average, students become eligible from around the 5th semester. A few companies visit for recruitment, offering roles in entry level positions. The average package is moderate, while higher package are limited. Around 70 to 80% of students get placed. I plan to focus on skill development and explore better opportunities after completing my degree.

The placements of MAIT are decent as compared to market conditions. But the data shown on website or availble at various platforms is not the reality. The mass chunk of students who get a job are placed under and around 6LPA package.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very relevant as it contains useful concepts which a management student should know. And the concepts are very comprehensive and easy to understand. Examples are given in the curriculum which prepares us for the real world. Some teachers use the presentation based teaching which is good and should be encouraged. The exams are not that difficult for one who is atleast decent in studies.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

The course offers many things for students interms of their further academic pursuits or any placement they are looking for. Talking about the areas of improvement and teaching methods there are none. The exams of the respective subject are to happen. They take test 1 , test 2 and there is final exams.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Some students got more than 7lpa last year. I will be doing my Post graduation after college and will make a career in academics.
