Life at upes

Overall the college is good & the management "sometimes" may not be very helpful to the students.but most of the time they are helpful. There is a separate department made for the student queries & help called the SRE department they are helpful.

No entrance i am an nri so got direct admission just had a personal Interview. For normal students for the management branch they have go through the group discussion & then the personal interview.

Its good and detailed with domain related subjects also. does have both practical and theoretical work with a lot of assignments individual & group based. Its easy to understand with the books provided & the ppts used by the teachers. They do focus on research to with reports to be submitted & also there is a compulsory internship in the 2nd year for everyone either provided by the clg or you can get a self intern after which you have to give a detailed report on your internship as a hard copy & as a ppt to.

Yes the college does provide internships during the summer break after the 4th semester you can either let the college provide the internship for you or you can get a self intern also. Mostly there is no stipend but sometimes there is to a maximum of 5000 rs. Companies that came during my internship period were interglobe, BAOA, Thomas Cook, GVK.

Placements are good in upes have been a 100% for the past 4 years. In my batch all were placed. The companies that had come were FedEx, Interglobe, GMR HAIL. All the companies were offering around rupees 18000-25000 per month.For other branches also the placement is around the 100% mark.

As the college starts for the freshers the first event they get to they have is the freshers party in the month of August. It is held in the college campus each branch has a different party on different days like for btech on one day and for bba on the other. Then there is urja in October or November decided by the college this is the main event of the college like a fest only college students are allowed to attend this. Its a big event the whole college is present & students can participate in things like war of band etc. Its a 3 day festival on day 2 there is a dj night and on day 3 there is a band night a band is invited to the college to play.

Fee structure is a bit on the expensive side compaired to other colleges for normal students they may fee twice half at the start of each semester & for for NRI students they pay at the start of each college year in dollars & the fee for the nri students fee is higher than the normal students.

I don't know about any scholarship or loan facilities offered by the college because i did not avail any but i am sure there are such services.

Campus life is good and enjoyable the seniors are good & helping. Just respect them and they will respect you back. The gender diversity is good. There are alot of extracurricular activities like football competitions, cricket tournaments as well as basketball volleyball badminton & handball tournaments held for both girls and boys. There are different events held like debates, treasure hunts and robotics.

Campus hostel is good with good security with good services. Food is on 4 time basis & good mess is there for the students & now they have the option for a/c rooms as well the fee for normal room is 1, 10, 000 rs & 1, 35, 000 for the a/c rooms & hot water facilities are available. Electricity is not a problem & a bus service is provided to students of college to travel to the main city in the weekend. Alot of pgs are available ranging from 4000-15000 per month. Around the campus & private hostels are also available.

Yes seniors are very helpful. They just have to be respected & they will respect you back. Ragging is not possible in the college as there a disciplinary committees to take care of that & very strict & fast action is taken by the college if any violation of the rules happens even in the pgs & private hostels.

Exams structure is good we had exams twice every semester first the mid sems which as the name suggests were held in the mid of the semester had accounted to around 30% in the final marks with internals accounting to 20% After that we have end semester exams at the end of each semester. There are no holidays in between the exams. about the labs there are regular labs held as i got to know from my friends in the btech branch of the college.
