Overall Good

The college management is good towards the student except the fact that they treat students like school kids.

I got admission in this college through TNEA(Tamilnadu Engineering Admissions). It is ranked one of the top 10 private engineering colleges in chennai by many websites.So i chose this college.

The curriculum is based on anna university syllabus.It is revised every 4 years. Anna university is the engineering university run by the govt of tamilnadu. The syllabus provides indepth knowledge about each subject. Anna university is one of the top universites in india and my college is affiliated to anna university.

Yes, Many companies come yearly and provide internships to deserving students. This year amazon and zoho provided internships for students so far. Placement is still going on.

The three main companies that recruit most of the velammalians are Wipro, Infosys and CTS. These three companies recruit almost half of the eligible candidates with the package of 3.30lakh/year. Other product companies such as zoho, mu sigma, amazon, athena health, etc., recruit deserved candidates.Almost 150 companies come to the college campus to recruit students each year.

Each department in the college conduct National Level technical symposiums each year. Various technical events are conducted and cash prizes are awarded.Students from various colleges attend these syposiums. Also there will be a college day that is conducted every year in which events like dance, singing and others are conducted.

The tuition fee is approximately about Rs.63500 for students admitted through TNEA. The transport fee is Rs.26000 which is not compulsory. If the student opt for hostel they should pay the hostel and mess fees that will be around Rs.40000-50000. If the student is admitted through management quota they should pay the initial donation that ranges from 4-5 lakhs and the fees.

As far as I know the college does't provide scholarships.But they accept forms for the scholarship amount given by tamilnadu govt each year.

The college doesn't supports girl and boy interaction in the campus. Mobile phones and electronic items are not allowed inside the campus. The students here can shape their future by utilizing the facilities provided by the college.All students are equally treated inside the college.

The hostel rooms are somewhat clean.Each room is shared by 4 students.There is a separate hostel buildings for girls and boys. The mess foods are fair.But there are some complaints from the hostel students about the mess that they don't provide hygienic foods.

The management provide some speech by the students of their experience on undergoing interviews and placement process.Other than that we don't have that much interaction with the seniors.

Exams are frequently conducted to improve the academics of students.If you attend the exams regularly you will have the capacity to write the mains without preperation.Lab classes were very useful except the fact they still use old softwares for practise.

Almost 30-40% of the faculties completed Ph.d and half of the faculties are registered for Ph.D. The faculties provide good coaching and they have in depth technical and subject knowledge.The faculties are very much interested in making each and every student of the class to understand the concept.
