A good college with very good placement

I would say that the college has good faculties for CSE and IT and not so good faculties as well as good infrastructure for other departments. I would recommend to join if you are willing to take CSE or IT.

I got admission into this college by WBJEE. I locked my choice after 1st counselling only. I choose this college because I knew that it gives a very good placement and most importantly the education system in this college is very strict unlike most WBUT colleges.

IT industry is growing day by day. Yes, the market is very fluctuating by going by the trend one can say that IT engineers have a bright future in years to come. The scenario changed dramatically and the demand of IT industry grew suddenly in 2014-15 and its showing a steady increase in demand. I would recommend you to choose IT only if you have passion for programming and if you have basic concept of programming.

The college has lots of Placement patners. I would like to name a few here. 1. ACC Ltd 2. Accenture 3. Airtel 4. Areva T&D,Chenni. 5. BOC India Ltd. 6. Capgemini India Pvt.Ltd. 7. Ceratizit India Pvt.Ltd. 8. Cognizant Technology Solns 9. Cummins India 10. DCPL 11. DELL 12. EDP Software.

If you are willing to take CSE or IT be assured to get good placement opportunities provided if you perform well in semester exam and have good communication and programming skills. It gives enough opportunies for you to choose your desired job. Just you need to focus on your studies and perform well in semester exam. The placement is there to give you good placements.

The college fee structure is somewhat expensive. The admission fee is Rs 5000 and the course free for 1st year is Rs 1,00,000. The semester fees must be paid before the semester exams. The average fee for each semester is Rs 51000. Therefore the fee structure is somewhat on the expensive type.

I have not availed any loans to study here. However some banks that do provide such facilities. There is AXIS band inside the campus that do provide students with loans the other facilities. Also students can pay there fee here only.

The gender ratio is around 60:40 in favor of male. The college doesn't support politics in the campus. It has a official club named Pheonx. Mostly students are Hindus but there is unity in diversity in the campus. There is generally no cases of such kind as gender abuse or things of those sort.

The hostel facility however is very poor. The A1 mess is somewhat OK. Also the mess food is far away from good. The rooms are hot and suffocating. The mess is also at 5 minutes walking distance from the college. The mess food is too bad. Also there isn't many good restaurant to fill your stomach.

First of all it is a completely ragging free campus. I was lucky to get few very good seniors. But I would also tell that all of my classmates were not lucky as thy faced ragging.

Every semester happens in a interval of 6 months. Internal exam is taken twice within each semester named as 1st internal and 2nd internal. These marks get added in the final semester result hence these exams are important. The semester exam is taken out of 70 marks and the rest is taken from internal exams.

I would rate the faculty in this college highly. But having said that the 1st year faculty that we got was not up to the mark. However we got some very good professors in 2nd and 3rd year. I like their teaching style. I will not mention the names of the professor but I can take the responsibility and say that FIEM has some of the best professors among all engineering colleges.
