Government engineering college Barton hills is a prestigious institution under the Kerala Technical University. This college is at rank 4 based on AICTE.Our college has good placement cell.The college is short in campus but rich in case of faculties. Faculties are so good teaching.Bachelor of technology is a profeesional course and a job offering course.It will help you aquire job in any sector like bank jobs,electrical etc.
Course Curriculum Overview
The courses are some what tough to catch up.The faculties of Government Enginering College Thiruvananthapuram is good so that we can easily learn.The industry exposure is somewhat less.We have ADAMS branch which deals with the manufacturing and consulting of Benz which is a plus mark of the college.Maths teacher Indu mam,Kailas sir of Mechanical Engineering department are so good.

I am currently working as the INTERNSHALA STUDENT PARTNER program which is campuss ambaseddor program giving stipend based on perfomance.I earned 9000+ cash incentives till now
Placement Experience
College have a good entrepreneur cell which work for the student's. GADS is a start up started by my batch mates .We have automated sanitizer startup,TBi working for remote controlled Rc plane and many startups.College supports the startups very much.Our college have a wepl working entrepreneurship cell.All the technical societies including ISTE,ASME,IEDC,CSI,TBI,IEEE support students startups immensly.
College Events
Our college have many techno cultaral events like sargam,aagneya,inspire etc.Aagneya is a very famous fest which hold participants from celebraties etc.They have a huge attraction among the people. College often conduct tech fest to increase the technical skill of students.
Fees and Financial Aid
I hadn't applied for any scholarship.There are many scholarship available for OBC ,SC St students.The ongc scholarship, Sc scholarships etc are among them.The college office will give a brief description about the available scholarship and the scholarship are not college based but are based on the income so that joining on any college can avail for the scholarship.
Campus Life
First of all college has no play ground.There is only a ladies hoatel not mens hostel. College uses university stadium near college for sports uses.College has free wifi available for students. The library is not so big.Most students depends on libraries outside college for reference. College have Mechanical Engineering lab,chemical lab,electronics lab,IT lab,electrical lab with limited instruments.
