Best Engineering College in Odisha

All things are good enough to study there but only placement is the thing on which college administration should keep a track.

I appered for Odisha JEE. I scored 76 out of 100. I opted this college for good infrastructure and better academic support.

It was Biju Pattnaik University of Technology there. We had a descriptive syllabus which involved the references of books from various international writers too. More practicals were involved in academics rather than theories. Faculties were following the university syllabus strictly.

Yes, stipend is provided in my college. But, it is available for the students in masters only. I remember of BSNL and stipend was INR 8000.

I can say placement was not very good but it was not bad too. Last year infosys company took 35 students on a package of 4.2 lacs per annum. Also, there were recruitment from other small companies and overall 180-200 students were being placed till our final B.Tech semester exam.

In spring season, there was a cultural event called Vasantika. Just after that students were attending the technical events being organized by IIT Kharagpur. Actually, it was organized at Kharagpur IIT only and before going to Kharagpur, an event was also being organized for selection of projects to be sent.

I can say that fee structure was not so feasible for a common student. The bus fee for a year was included in tuition fee which was making it a heavy amount to pay. Also for students residing in hostels an additional charge were included and for pursuing one was required to take loan from bank.

Not actually. They were just providing the necessary documents required to present before bank for getting approval of loans.

The campus life in college was good enough to support ambitious students there. There was a 3 story building for library with plenty of books available on different topics helpful for semester or technical exams preparations. Workshops and technical events were also organized on regular basis there.

The hostel room were spacious and being cleaned on regular basis. But I would say mess food was not good enough and I will give only 2 marks out of 10 to it. The annual fee for hostels including food was as high as 35000 annually. But cleanliness were maintained everywhere.

Yes there was a good level of interaction between senior and junior students. We used to play together various games. Also I got chances for attending the annual alumni meet in my college.

I cannot say it hectic actually. We had internal tests every month and three as a whole. The tests or viva for labs were conducted on laboratory scheduled timings only as per routine. Some special events were happening indeed like CSTE technical events, robotics seminars, stream level events etc.

This point is special to discuss here. As per norms of our university, it was necessary for all its faculties to have Masters degree. So, being an engineering student, I got all my professors or faculties as M.Tech ones. I found that they have passion about their teaching and they were able to convey clearly to students.
