Student review

The course curriculum is decided by the university. My university is Kerala technological university. It is not a very relevant syllabus as most of the portions are currently outdated in the industry. It is also not a research-driven course either. It is purely based on theory and a person's ability to by-heart.

Placements are very good in the college. Being a private college, they strive to bring the big companies to the college and also that the students get a good package. Not much special preparation is given.

We have mainly 3 celebrations in the college. First is onam. It is usually held in mid august to early september. Second, We have interhouse competition conducted in the odd semester. It is a two day event. Third, we have the intercollege technical fest. it ranges from 1-3 days. Apart from these we may/may not have events related to different departments in the college.

Fee structure:- Tuition fee-75, 000 Special fees-10, 000 On joining the college we also had to pay a caution deposit of about 1 lakh. Fees is quite expensive. But then it is expected out of a private college. 10, 000 rupees are taken as additional fees in every year.

I have not opted for any scholarships. Yes, the college offers scholarship opportunity for students, mostly for OBC And the economically backward classes. They had to show their monthly income certificates ro avail the scholarship.

Campus life is very good except for the studying. It is a huge campus with alot of greenery and it is situated at a lake side. We have football, badminton, basketball and athletic team who have all exceled at their respective events. Gender depends on the stream/branch which you have chosen. If it is a branch like mechanical, number of girls is very few. But in branches like CS or IT, the gender ratio is more or less equal.

Till now, All my interactions wkth seniors have been have been good. They have been very helpful. I do not know about any alumini network in the college.

I had gotten into the college at first through management quota. But later on, when the results of Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical were published, I found that I could claim a seat in my college on merit basis. So, I switched my category from management to merit.

Management is very bad. they are mostly money driven. There are some teachers who have exceled in the field and are good at teaching. There are others, who, though they have excelled in their fields but do not know how to teach. There are still others who are not just good at teaching.
