An insight into my college

The Management is very strict regarding fee payment. They seldom try to understand student's problem. They are very efficient with other things regarding to academics and conduction of other activities.

The course curriculum like all engineering colleges is nice but I personally do not think they have any role in making us better professionals. The class lectures are not industry specific and is just theory based. But the labs are industry specific. We do not have any industrial visits organized until now. I think the college should focus more on practicals than on theories.

There is a placement cell but we do not know much about it for now. The companies that visit are: TCS, Cognizant, Infosys and others. These companies have a CGPA threshold to qualify for their examinations, after which they take their own exams. Since there is special cell for placements the college does prepare the students for the placement season.

The college organises a lot many functions. They are good but they fail to meet student's expectations. We have a DJ night before diwali. Then we have a technological festival named VIDYANTRIK which comprises of a lot many activities and competitions. Also we have a cultural festival named CELEGANCE which also has many activities . All of these festivals are followed by a DJ night . Students from the college and from other colleges actively participate in these festivals and avail exciting prizes.

Since it is a private college the fee is quite normal. But as compared to other colleges it is pretty expensive. During the counselling process one is required to pay a sum of ?10,000 out of which ?5000 is refunded later. Yes the college provides with fee breakdown and there is transparency.

I applied for the state government loan from Bihar. This requires the college to meet some standards after which you can easily avail the loan.

Like all engineering colleges there are less girls and thus the gender ratio is about 7:3 (boys:girls). Dorm parties are not prevalent because of the strict hostel management. The college is unbiased regarding gender, religion, ethnicity, race or economic background. We have a lot of centre of excellence and thus exposure to industry level experience is tremendously available.

Yes I have opted for hostel. There are 3 variety. ?67000 for 3 bedded non AC rooms. ?77000 for 2 bedded non AC rooms. ?102000 for 2 bedded AC rooms. We do not have to pay anything extra for food charges or electricity bills.

The seniors who have still not graduated are very helpful and ready to help all the time. The campus is ragging free and the seniors help with everything. The alumni network is not so good but they are helpful to the graduating batches.

I got admission through OJEE counselling process. In this you are required to fill up colleges of your preference after which based on your ranks you are provided colleges and then you need to visit the college and pay the fees to get secure your seat. The dates of counselling are around July beginning and admissions are organised near july end.

The faculty is 200+ strong. Their average age being 35 and most of them are some degree holders. A few of the teachers are Ph.D. holders. Some are experts of their subject and some are not quite well. The lab teachers have industry level experience but others do not have much experience.
