Remarks
Not bad but not great either. They are mostly driven by their religious grounds which makes it a little behind on fun.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is that assigned by UOC so that stays pretty standard and so are the exams. But I wouldn't say they have the best coaching. In fact sometimes its even the worst. At the end it all comes down to how much YOU need it. The amount of training you would recieve from the faculty is very limited, hence at the end it all comes to a very studious vibe. Students be very clever theoretically but have little knowledge to be practical. Hence if you WANT it you'll know how to make it.
Placement Experience
This solely depends on the department you are from. I've seen some department giving high importance to internships while some much less never bothers. As i said at the end of the day it all comes to how much you want to make use of it.
College Events
Onam, Christmas, Eid, Arts Inaugration, Fine arts day, Sports, Independence day, Republic day, Teacher's day, Kerala piravi We had an NSS club and many many more clubs that celebrate their causes. They bring out the ignored or overseen days of the year. Days like environmental day, blood donation camps, anti tobaco day, youth day, mental health day and so much more.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The system is practicaly transparent. It is not the most expensive while not the least either. It was 28000 in my first year. No other payments have to be done to secure your admission. Mode of payment are mostly direct or if inconvenient bank transfer was possible.
Fees and Financial Aid
I never availed any scholar ship programs but I knew many who did. The institution was in complete support of such programs. Being a charitable trust themselves they had scholarships of their own.
Campus Life
The campus life you build solely depends on the people you choose to stay around with. College provides enough resources as the basics. What you build with it is completely up to you. There are students who made the best out of their college life and there are those who never lived a day for fun
Hostel Facilities
Yes I did prevail hostel facilities in the first two years. We paid around 5800 every month. Facilities are fine. Its mini dorms. The fees did increase every year. It was 5400 first, then it was 5800, by final year it was 6400
Alumni/Alumna
Not exactly. Alumini groups haven't been of any interest for the college. If your batch keeps one, you'll have one.
Admission
I solely opted this college for psychology. So this was the only college I applied for. I took a management seat right after the day my twelfth results wer out though eventually as the alotment list came out I was shifted to the merit list students. There is not actually any difference between a management seat and a merit, the only difference is that if a management seat student you have to pay your fees for the entire year once and if you are a merit student you could pay it in half twice.
Faculty
Accessibility is never an issue. They are always at your disposal. You can contact them anytime you want. There is no high formality between the students and the faculties. It is a very easy going environment and relation between them. Most of the teachers have enought industrial experience, there are newbies as well.
