Entrance Preview
I scored 127 in MHT-CET out of 200 and got admission in Mechanical Branch. I opted for this college because it has good ranking as far as the Engineering Colleges are concerned and one can easily take admission in this college without spending hours on studies.
Course Curriculum Overview
If you are a BRILLIANT student, you should go for this college.The chances of placement in Computer Science and Electronics & Communication Engineering are high as compared to the other branches. And most of the students get placed in IT sector by the way.
Internships Opportunities
No. Or not quite sure. I haven't met anybody who is doing internship and getting stipend (At least in B.E). I have no idea about if anybody gets stipend in M.Tech or not.
Placement Experience
The chances of placement in Computer Science and Electronics & Communication Engineering are high as compared to the other branches although all the branches are allowed or eligible for interviews in all the companies. And most of the students get placed in IT sector by the way.
College Events
There are many events organised in our college. Technovision is the technical event & Pratishruti is the annual event. If you are in SRKNEC or thinking of taking admission in SRKNEC, participate in all the events. You should also take participation in WAD. Its a workshop of 7 days on Aptitude Development.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is feasible. You just need to pay around a lac every year which is not at all expensive. Most of the engineering colleges charge this much and SRKNEC is the best college which charges less than a lac.
Campus Life
Campus life is very nice and the gender ratio is quite fair except Mechanical Branch. There are many workshops this college has- to offer you and go for every workshop. You can participate in sports event as well. You can participate in Techno vision if you have interest in robotics.
Hostel Facilities
If you are coming from other city, Hostels are the best place to live in although Hostels has limited rooms but try to get a room in college hostel as it will give you the life long experience.And You can live a very good life in Nagpur as it is the most peaceful city (Personal Experience) and you can get PG at very low prices.
Alumni/Alumna
Most of the student of SRKNEC are at better place and are helpful. You can contact any of your senior or super senior. You will always get a better and helpful reply from the senior students.
Exam Structure
The college is autonomous now. When it was under RTMNU, there were 2 Unit Tests in every semester. And the labs in Mechanical Branch were not prepared as we were the first batch of Mechanical. SRKNEC was found in 1984 and Mechanical is the newest branch till now.
