Remarks

Though the faculties of our department atleast are cordial but on the other hand the management is way out of having good faith about the institution. The management is the only reason for this poor rating of this college across many websites.

Entrance Preview

WBJEE, I SCORED ABOUT 100 (I don't remember the exact number) IN JEE-2012, Well it has good infrastructure and is quite reputed among its counterparts.

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

It's pass because though it comes under Burdwan University but still it lacks that dynamics.in terms of the syllabus. Adhering to which I would rather say that getting admitted to this college guarantee you just a degree not knowledge which one needs to possess for bagging a job. And finally I would like to finally wish Good luck to those get admitted to this college.

Internships Opportunities

No, it rather asks you to make arrangements for an internship by yourself. I personally had to arrange for my internship at Indian Railways that to in Certain topic of Mechanical engineering.

Placement Experience

0.5

Very poor Campusing. It had TCS , the only mass recruiter of UITians. Until 2016.and for outgoing batch of 2017 it is said that the college won't be able to provide any more campusing drives.I feel pity for the management for failing to provide better placement opportunities to its students. And also the present TPO is the worst i have seen.as per my views are concerned

College Events

1.5

our college there almost every festival is celebrated. Students from all the departments come together to celebrate a festival in their own ways. There is annual Tech fest known as UTKRISHT or ganized by the students and teachers of various departments jointly.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Well during my days of admission the fees was quite feasible but recently due to some Internal turmoil, the institute was forced to surge it's fees but if we see it comparatively with other private institutions of its class then it would seem as if it is worth it and the most feasible.

Fees and Financial Aid

I don't know about the loan facilities(if any) provided by the college but what I can say it that those it's just like any other average engineering colleges but it highly admires talents.so it continues to provide free shop under WBFS to those belonging to economically backward class with excel in their studies.

Campus Life

1.5

As it is same all over India in most of the engineering colleges, our campus life was good But the gender ratio is very poor as the no. Of boys always outnumbered the no. Of girls still girls were a better performer atleast academically. The college had drawn student's from almost all areas of India mostly bihar and west bengal to name a few. But still it was poor when it came to labs and all other extracurricular activities.

Hostel Facilities

2

Well it's perhaps the most hyped questions among students. As we all know the conditions of a Government hostel at least if you dunno just presume it. It's average but I think recently it has been renovated and it likely to offers better services with above the average catering service.

Alumni/Alumna

Well I don't have much experience in this regard as I have hardly heard of any alumnus meeting in the campus of te college. Yet it said that we have one of the biggest alumni network.I dunno if it's just a hoax or may be not.

Exam Structure

Out of 100, 10 marks for Attendance, 20 marks for Internal assessment and 70 marks for semester examination. The faculties of our college are not dogmatic so we are told to follow what is being taught is the class. Apart from this we also need to follow previous year questionnaire to assess the standards of questions that may appear in the semester examination

Faculty

4.5

Average but the faculty of AEIE are very supportive. Though most of the faculties here are pursuing their phDs still they try to teach better. My experience with them is Good. Much better than that of other departments teachers. The are student friendly with many of them even lending their helping hand at anytime you ask for help.

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
