NITK Surathkal the best NIT in terms of placements and also overtaken many IITs in NIRF Rankings. It's the best Engineering college in Karnataka. It is the only college in India to have its own Private Beach. It is very close to a lot of tourist attractions.
Course Curriculum Overview
Many courses were updated but we had a few courses which taught very old stuffs. I just qualified my first year ,so I don't have any industrial exposure but almost all of our seniors got a Avery good industrial exposure. Almost all faculties are good expect a few were annoying.
Placement Experience
Nearly 300 companies visit our college every year. Almost all students get placed. Placement process is according to the college placement cell guidelines and the companies' norms. Our College's placement department is one of the best in the country. Alumni networking is excellent in our college. Entrepreneur Cell is great with lot of ideas and innovations being carried out.
College Events
Campus life here is awesome. Many Technical Clubs recruite students and also many non technical clubs are also there. NITK's own Private Beach is very beautiful with a light house and it is the best place to relax and enjoy. Technical fest "Think Create Engineeer" takes place every odd semester for 5 long days. It's South India's second largest of it's kind.
Campus Life
Campus infrastructure is excellent with many new buildings coming up replacing the very old buildings. Sports Complex is huge with all the modern amenities for Cricket, Football, Kabaddi, Basketball, Volleyball, Tennis, Badminton, Table-Tennis and many more. Our college has an Olympic size Swimming pool. We get high speed 24*7 Wi-Fi throughout the campus, LAN connection to all hostel rooms. Library is huge with more than a lakh of books and A/C reading halls. Labs are excellent.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels are there for every student in the campus. First year and second year UG boys have shared rooms while other boys have single rooms. I don't know about girls' hostels. Everyone gets their own LAN ports in their hostel rooms. Also high speed Wi-Fi is provided in hostels.
