Excellent College

Let me sum up here. College is indeed great for placements with teaching and infrastructure good. Ultimately what matters is how u grab opportunities. Yes personally I feel this college should be serious contender for any engineering student aspirant.

I got this college through CET. As my rank was around 6800. I chose this college after doing extensive research. And I don't have any regrets.

The course is as per the vtu norms and beyond that. Making students to go under holistic conditions with the increasing competition in this field. No doubt they will teach students according to the vtu but they will make look engineering field broader by the various assessments.

Since I am from mechanical department, I can speak abt this branch, indeed companies came for recruiting students for internship and selected handful of them, but the selection of this process was tiresome, the most noticeable company came was trelleborg, and yes stipend was attractive enough.

This is the reason where pes Institute of Technology marches ahead of other colleges, almost 100 percent placements for eligible students, placements start as early as beginning of seventh semester, salary packages ranges from 3.25 lakhs to 20 lakhs, the another thing worth mentioning is placements takes places in main campus which acts as considerable advantage.

There are many events happening regularly in the campus. The most noticeable and refreshable festival celebrated with lot of preparation is 'MAAYA' which happens to be in the month of October and other monthly fest do happen like hackathon, rise etc.

Fee structure for students who get through cet quota is same as per the government norms. Thats around 50 k per year. And for students through snq quota is around 10k and for comedk it's around 1.5lakhs per year, and for management quota it depends upon the branch ranging from 6 lakhs to 10 lakhs in addition to comedk fees annually.

They will announce the dates and process for the students belonging to the different castes, like merit cum means scholarship under the karnataka government.

Campus life is tad boring and not active as u won't find students after the college working hours, gender ratio is same as any other college with mechanical engineering taking back seat, workshops are good, and yes student diversity is indeed pleasant as u find students from different parts of the country, another plus point studying in this college is extremely intolerant towards ragging issues and no cases of sexual orientation.

Hostel facilities are good worth the money, it's around 70 k annually for boys, the hostel is for 3 students sharing per room, hostel building for boys is in the campus itself and for girls its outside the campus with free college bus facility for them.

Though passed out students do regularly come to the college and gives guest lectures but still there is scope for strength in this area.

Yes, studying in pesit is indeed tiresome due to its calendar of events. Our college starts much before than any other colleges begin. Labs are very well equipped with latest technology regularly getting incorporated, u get marks in internals and labs strictly as per your merit.

Good is the word I will use to describe the faculty, they are very knowledgeable and reliable but one things that adds zing is their willingness to help students at any part of the semester. Tough it is debatable that some of the faculty are biased towards some sections of students.
