My college

A good college in my concept. A good college with good infrastructure, environment, good placement opportunities etc.

We have 8 semesters, with sem exams. And each semester is of two internal exams and one lab exam. The semester exam is of 100 marks and then the internal marks is of 50. So each subject is of 150. Labs are of 100 marks. Practical exams and viva are conducted. These are helpful in securing on campus placements.

There are a lot of placement opportunities available at our college. The companies also provide interships to students. Almost 80 % of students are places every year.

Dhwani the cultural fest, Disha the first years fest, Drishti the tech fest, Sports fest, Sargam arts fest, Department fest tesla, Iedc fest. Programs conducted by different clubs like IEEE, ISTE, IET, IEDC, NSS, H2O, BHOOMITHRASENA, ASTRO club. Also many events are conducted by the college radio.

The fee structure is as decided by the government of kerala. There is no extra fees to be paid in order to secure admission to our course. There is a reservation to financially backward and some castes. There is an extra exam fee for each semester. Also we have to pay the mess bills.

Yes, the college offer scholarship opportunities to students. The eligibility is as defined by the authority.

Gender ratio is almost same. But the count of men is more than the women. There are many workshops conducted every month by different clubs like IEEE, IET. Women engineering Society is present in our college. There are many extra curricular activities here like robotics, drone workshop.

Yes, a very helpful set of seniors and alumni. Alumni provides sponsorship for many events conducted in college. Seniors help in completing many projects and subjects.

I got admission through the keam entrance exam. I am interested in maths and physics so I chose b tech as my course. I got my college on the third allotment and then took admission there. We had three allotments for our admission. First two allotments I got some other college with the same course. In the third allotment I got admission in my college. There was a set of steps to complete our admission. First we have to be present at the college with all the certificates including sslc, plus two, caste, birth certificate, community. at the alotted time. Then we have to pay the fees and the admission is done.

I have about 6 subjects and two labs in each sem. The lecturers are all well qualified, many completed their PhD. Almost all the teachers are above 40. All have much experience. Almost all are good at teaching. Also provide us with extra classes. Some of the lecturers hold industry experience or certifications.
